I picked my three favorites from back when I was a poor student. Notice I placed a comment in your very important pole. ;)

I switched to Pabst when Falstaff was discontinued. Pabst is the best domestic going, and I drink when I have coin too.

Gospel truth here. I swear this ain't suckin' up to Ole Vet.

Put a sixer of Natty Light in the freezer before you go outside to bust your hump in the dead middle of summer. Work like a dog, sweat like a pig, then come inside to your ice cold, brain numbing 12 ounce bottle of sheer delight. Ice chunks are a bonus.

You can't get better than a Natty on a blazing hot day.

I didn't say I didn't drink the crap. There are times and places for domestic urine water, and I frequent those times and places. :)

Pabst does indeed rule. One night the neighbor and I hatched a plan to start a NASCAR team with PBR as the sponsor. Of course one of us needs to win Powerball first. :(

Yes, hillibillies live in Arizona too.

I had to pick 2.

Yeungling and PBR. I think they're actually great beer myself.

I was in line at the grocery store tonight with a guy that reminded me of Olevet. Or what I imagine Olevet to be. He was gregarious and buying Natty Light. I seriously wondered if it was him for a minute but I remembered OV started the "Where's Beef" thread and thought, even if he jumped a plane to East Tennessee, he would be buying more than a 12 pack, some apples, and a couple of chocolate pies.

Are Yeungling and PBR in italics because they don't belong on this list, or just look that way cuz I voted for them?

I'm surprised at how well the High Life is doing.

I picked 3. Lost Lake for getting ****ty, High Life for when I'm rich, and Old Style for Cubs games.

It should be noted when you drink bottled Pabst you can play card games with the caps. In college, we always had whomever got the high card get the next round.

Another vote for Keystone Light. Nothing like a 30 Stone on a hot day. :)

Yuengling definitely doesn't belong on that list. I think it's pretty good.

When I was in school, Keystone and McKormicks vodka was all we could afford.

Pricetag
11/16/2007, 03:33 PM
I like a few of those, and am also writing in Steel Reserve. It was $4.99 for a 12-pack at QT for quite awhile. It's up to $5.99 now, though.

I think it's good too, better than PBR even, that's why I voted for it. I've never actually been anywhere that I could buy it, but I've been told it is in the same price range as the rest of these specimens which is why it made the list.

Okay, no one has mentioned the worst swill evar! Brown Derby Beer. Safeway's answer to poor starving college students looking to at least try to get a buzz. I bet Norman sold more BD than anywhere else... Nasty shi'ite!

bluedogok
11/17/2007, 12:46 PM
Wasn't that replaced with Scotch Buy Beer, or the generic white cans with BEER in black letters. I remember Safeway having those, we still mostly drank Coors Light or Michelob. We would also get some Moosehead at a club that out on East Lindsay, that was the first that I remembered seeing it.

My grandpa used to drink Brown Derby and the Scotch Buy Beer from safeway; do they still make Meister Brau? I remember drinking a lot of that crap in college at a place in Tahlequah called Diamond Lil's
