Look who has vaulted up to a tie for 7th! AT LEAST some respect now...we will see what a nationally televised Saturday night game does for him. Up to him to prove it...and do I see a Virginia defensive player getting a vote?!?!?!

Name Position School Year 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th Total
Dennis Dixon QB Oregon Sr. 14 1 0 0 0 74
Tim Tebow QB Florida So. 1 11 2 1 0 57
Chase Daniel QB Missouri Jr. 0 1 4 2 5 25
Darren McFadden RB Arkansas Jr. 0 0 4 5 3 25
Pat White QB West Virginia Jr. 0 2 4 1 1 23
Glenn Dorsey DT LSU Sr. 0 0 0 2 1 5
Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma Fr. 0 0 0 2 0 4
Colt Brennan QB Hawaii Sr. 0 0 1 0 1 4
Matt Ryan QB Boston College Sr. 0 0 0 2 0 4
Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech Fr. 0 0 0 0 1 1
Chris Long DE Virginia Sr. 0 0 0 0 1 1
Knowshon Moreno RB Georgia Fr. 0 0 0 0 1 1
Todd Reesing QB Kansas So. 0 0 0 0 1 1

I do have a problem with Glenn Dorsey getting so much love as well as McFadden. Personally, I would put Todd Reesing much higher on this list.

Crabtree would be higher on the list too if he wasn't a sand aggie. Let that be a lesson to all potential recruits - go someplace where you can win AND receive legitimate consideration for top tier individual awards.

Why does the term "System" come up for TT QB's and not their WR's?

This is indeed a fair question.

well, the problem with the QB's from Tech is that they get tons of yards, but their ratings aren't high because they generally have lower completion percentages and lower TD:INT ratios

WR stats don't include drops, etc... and Tech recievers don't typically have huge numbers since the ball is spread around a lot. Crabtree is different

Harrell: 73% completion, 43:12 TD:Int ratio.

Apparently Harrell's different too. His problem is that he goes for a long time without any Int's and then throws a series of them. I hope we can benefit from his carelessness a lot Saturday.

Crabtree is a stud, but he also DROPPED a GAME WINNER in Stillwater. Sure, a big day before then, but the best players make the big plays and that is the difference between winning and losing that game.

Why does the term "System" come up for TT QB's and not their WR's?
Because THEY ARE the product of a system where the QB throws the ball 50+ times a game.WRs in that sytem are going to have big numbers simply because of the vlume of passes thrown.Bradford at QB and Kelly & JI at WR would have HUGE stats in the TT system.Conversely if Harrell and Crabtree were at OU,IMHO they would NOT be as efeective as Bradford,Kelly and JI.

What is the nation's fascination with Tim Tebow?

Exactly why I don't think Crabtree should be in the conversation. If Harrell can't be then neither should Crabtree. they are both products of the system. Maybe Tech, which is obvious to me, doesn't have as many talented recievers on their team this year than years past?

There's certainly no Wes welker's on the roster, including Crabtree.

He's white AND he can run AND pass. He's probably a better QB than Vince Young right now thow.

You mean other than the fact he rushes for touchdowns like a running back while throwing for touchdowns like a run and shoot quarterback?

The guy is a freak...and the best player in America.
