Semi-Tough is one of the funniest books I have ever read. First time I ever laughed out loud while reading fiction.

Dan has some interesting comments about his years around CF's greatest coaches.

He once wrote a book calling saxeT: Baja Oklahoma...love that handle.

On Darrell Royal: "The smartest coach I knew. Not even close. [Barry] Switzer. Bear [Bryant]. [John] McKay. Those are the smartest guys I've known and hung out with. Those are my favorites. I never saw them make a mistake. They'd get beat by somebody, if somebody had a better team, but they didn't do something stupid."

Maybe it's just me but I loved 'You Gotta' Play Hurt'. I strongly recommend it.

While I think all of Jenkins' books are great, the very best, in my opinion, is "Dead Solid Perfect".

"At that point, Bubba raised his leg off the chair and let loose with a sound something like a watermelon hitting the pavement from 2 stories up."

Dan Jenkins in Semi-Tough.

"Baja Oklahoma" was the first book I ever read that made me LOL.

Classic. I now own a first edition and read it about once a year when I feel I haven't laughed enough lately.

Dan Jenkins is by far my favorite author. Very excited about him having a new book out next spring. Top shelf humor.
