we went on a nice run to end the half.

it was tied at 27, then we ran off 13 unanswered.

40-30 good guys at half.

I just got back. I thought we left too many men open on their end, especially in the beginning of the game. Thankfully, we fixed that and they started missing a lot of shots because of the D.

Blake Griffin is a MONSTER!! He had a double-double tonight, and was involved in a lot of exciting plays. He is pretty big, and has a very good shot of becoming OU's next NBA player. He has loads of hustle, and plays very smart on the offensive side of the floor.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Freshman Blake Griffin, lauded as Oklahoma's best basketball recruit in more than two decades, had 18 points and 13 rebounds Thursday night in the Sooners' 71-55 victory over San Francisco in the first round of the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic.

Oklahoma (1-0) advanced to face Denver, which held off Division II East Central 76-75 in overtime, in the second round on Friday. The winner of the Norman regional will play No. 3 Memphis on Nov. 15 in the tournament semifinals

That is why I nicknamed Blake as THE BEAST.He is supposed to be THAT kind of player.Intresting that big brother seems to feed off little brother and pick up HIS game. That bodes well for the future.

We basically showed our depth tonight. I think 11 players played significant minutes tonight. Capel started subbing 4 and 5 guys in and out at a time in the 2nd half and just really rode the hot line until they were gassed, then brought in a fresh new team (usually the starters). That, and San Francisco is probably a better basketball team than Denver.

Loved watching the Griffin brothers play last night. It was also enjoyable to watch the substitutions sometimes 5 for 5. Great we have the depth this year compared to in the past. So glad that we have Capel and the other coach is history. Cannot believe that more people don't show up when the upper level is only $10 and you can see perfectly.

East Central took Denver to OT so I would guess SF is the better team
