went there for lunch today...i think they call it "Latin" so they can charge more for it than Tex-Mex..i wasn't that impressed.

I figured this was going to be some ironic thread and was trying to find cleverness in the title. :D

What the hell does 1492 have to do with Mexican food?

Don't you get it. In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue... Then they all ate burritos.

Yeah, I get that SMARTARSE but I thought Columbus landed in the Bahamas and then brought the Spaniards over where they then conquered and ate all the Mexicans. Or something. :D

So it's just Tex-Mex? Tex-Mex has nothing to do with Columbus and very little to do with "Latin" cuisine.

I heard they have 3 dollar Margaritas and Mojitos everyday from 4-7.

Seriously yesterday was the first time I heard of that place.

Went there for lunch and the food wasn't even on El Chico level. The queso was Velveetalicious, the rice instant and the prices ridiculous. Service was fine and I like the building, but until they redo the menu, STAY AWAY.

the salsa was good. it tastes just like the homemade salsa that I make.
