View Full Version : Does this make me old?

I used to be kind and flash my headlights at passing drivers to warn them that a cop is hiding ahead of them. Now I think "If they're speeding, they deserve a ticket."
What happened to me? Not enough fiber in my diet?

Metamucil can help ease your old fart traffic stress. That's what my doctor recommends...

No, but the fact that you are not far from 40 does! ;)

Somebody said "40 is the new 20". That makes all you twenty-somethings a bunch of grammar school brats. ;)

Back in the CB radio days I had a CB radio. I was driving down the highway and overheard a trucker rat out a guy in a black caddy for warning people. A few miles down the road I saw that a Highway Patrolman had a black Cadillac pulled over and was writing him a citation. That truckers handle was probably Mr. Rat Fink.

Nobody seems to warn anyone anymore. I always try to flash my lights at people, especially if the cop is hidden.

I'm in my 20s. I don't warn people. But I'm a bitch. **** karma.

And that's not even my good side.

OUDoc, I'll do ya one better. If I see someone speeding in the opposite direction, I'll sometimes will use the light flash even if there is no cop. I love to do this to "ricer guy" and "I'm more important than you guy" and "redneck in the huge truck that's more important than you guy."

if you've stopped doing it because you can't get your foot up to the steering column to press the switch, not only does it make you old, it also makes you an aggie.

I try to flash my lights, but I usually only manage to adjust my steering wheel or clean my windshield.

I hope they all get a ticket so maybe eventually they'll slow down and there may be less fatalities on the highway I drive all the time.

So yes, you're old. Me too.

Last night some goob in a little car was so close behind me I could only see a glow in the side mirror. I was like, "well, I wonder how my bumper tastes if I have to come to a sudden stop." I gave them the brake light and nothing happened so there wasn't a lot I could do.

After several miles I pulled over and let them pass and then got about a foot behind them. So it's not like I'm all the way there, yet. I know I shouldn't have because if they would have stopped I'd have driven over the top of the car.

Does it make me old that I thought to myself, "I'd like to ring thier neck!"

I try to flash on the highway, but never on the local roads. F'em.

And why are headlights so damned bright these days. I must flash my lights at least twice a night when I'm on the road only to be blinded by their uber-brights!

I thought you could get in trouble for flashing people.

What does it make me that I love it when this happens to me and I get to burn some guys corneas for thinking I had my brights on?

Other than someone who writes awkward sentences.

lights are so bright because the newer cars have the DAYLIGHT lamps that automatically come on every time you start the car. If people would actually turn on the regular lights when the sun goes down, they wouldn't blind people.

I don't believe in warning law breakers. If you obey the rules of the road, you don't need to be warned at all.

**** that. I carry signs in my trunk that say "SPEED TRAP" and put them up a quarter mile down the road.

Well, not really, but I think about it every time I see a cop running radar.

There's no such thing as a speed trap. They either catch you breaking the law or they don't.

I officially new I was old when a friends daughter came down from the attic and asked her dad what those "big black discs" that played music were called.
