she read my mind and had some Johnnie's waiting for me tonight. The bacon-cheeseburger-y onion-ringy goodness. :hot:

For her, yeah. I'm not a big fan of chocolate pie, meself. More of a cheesecake guy.

I usually get a 3 or 13 depending on my mood.

Their onion rings do rock but not quite as hard as VZD's rings.

I gotta go with # nothing.

Johnnie's fresh is meh, at best. After somebody brings it home it's double meh. Their onion rings are OK, but their burgers are the most overrated, overpriced in the OKC area.

If I'm hungry for a burger and rings I'll drive right past a Johnnie's to go to about 20 other places.

Goldie's is indeed good as well, problem is there isn't one anywhere near me and oh by the way, have you seen their prices lately?

Don't mind Dean, he doesn't like any food that anyone else likes. I guess it helps him feel unique. :D

Kendall's
Ron's
Ruby's
Goldie's
The Mont

An average burger is still better than a crappy burger. No?

I've given Johnnie's Charcoal Broiler several tries. I will admit that the one on 240 is a lot better than the one in Norman. Here's what I've learned about Johnnie's:

-Never, ever, EVER order the burger that has the ****ty bbq sauce on it. I have never tasted a worse burger anywhere. Not even BK or McD's.

-Never order a burger, rings, and a drink with less than $15 in your pocket. You want pie? Better make it a $20.

-Their actual hamburger meat (forget the bun and fixins) tastes like horsemeat. It just isn't very good.

-Yes, a craptastic Sonic burger when it's hot and fresh pwns a Johnnie's burger. That's right, I said it. Johnnie's has a thicker patty, but when it tastes like 1TC's ***, who wants it?

best food to eat while drunk EVAR.

taco bell.

sanantoniosooner

I would think that taco bell + drunk = bad things.

the possibility of explosive discharge out the other end while you are already bear hugging a commode is fairly likely.

Dean, as usual, speaks the truth. Johnnie's is meh. The onion rings are teh fail--too much breading and no flavor (unless you consider greasy onion a flavor). Now Braum's, there's a tasty burger. And it doesn't cost $9.

Regarding Whataburger, it's my theory that you have to be drunk or a native Texan to like that place.

While I'm at it, Burger Street is also meh. So suck it, Tulsa.

Ain't none of you ever had a Kopp's burger so you don't know what you're talking about anyway.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Harry Beanbag
10/31/2007, 05:25 PM
I forgot about Braum's. Man, I really miss that place.

10/31/2007, 06:12 PM
I know there are probably better burger places than Braum's, Sonic or Whataburger. But when you live in CA and you don't have access to any of them, I would just about kill for a cherry limeade and a sonic burger or a peach milkshake and a burger from Braum's, etc.

In fact, I hope to have Sonic this weekend when I'm home. Yummmmmm!!!!

There's a Sonic in Yuma and a few in Bakersfield if you're thinking about a road trip sometime.

The Vista's burgers are terrible.

I told you guys that Dean doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to hamburgers.
