Baseball Announces R/W Series
Sooners will play five-game series to conclude fall practice

NORMAN, Okla. -- The OU baseball team announced its dates for the annual Red/White Series on Monday. The five-game series will open on Saturday, Nov. 10 and conclude on the last day of fall practice on Saturday, Nov. 17. The Sooners will also play on Nov. 11, 14 and 16 at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
The times for the games will be determined at a later date and the entire series is free and open to the public.
In years past, the series consisted of three games, but was expanded to five games this fall. Prior to the games, the OU seniors, with assistance from the coaching staff, will draft the two teams that will play in the five-game set. The seniors will also play and coach during the games.
The Sooners began team practices in the fall on Oct. 4 and recently completed their 10th intrasquad scrimmage on Sunday, Oct. 28.
"I have been extremely pleased with the intensity that our players are bringing to each practice and scrimmage every day," said OU head coach Sunny Golloway. "We are blessed to have student-athletes that display genuine pleasure in being at the University of Oklahoma along with the opportunity to represent our baseball program. We have also been blessed with good weather and we look forward to the final two and a half weeks of fall practice."
The Sooners will scrimmage this week on Wednesday at 2 p.m. and again over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday at noon. The intrasquads are held at L. Dale Mitchell Park and are open to the public.
