My First Conference Call

So, I've got the first conference call that I've ever participated in coming up at 8:30. I'm on the Central Texas Planning Committee with Texans for Thompson and the members of each regional committee are having a strategery session tonight.

Any tips on what to do during a conference call? I'm not sure what to say when the phone answers, "hello" doesn't seem right. I'm thinking I'll say my name and which region I'm with.

I'm nervous! I hate phones!

when i get on a call, I let them know i am there, than i punch the mute button and take a nap. Than i send an email to some one else that was on the call, tell them i got disconnected and to fill me in on a short version.

I have conference call every tuesday..I'd say to let them know that you are there and then email other people that are on the same conference call...I try to send the other poeple jokes while they are talking to see if i can get them sidetracked..I know, its stupid but so are conference calls..

Video conferences suck even worse cuz you can't just go do something else.

The truly ironic thing about SicEm is that exaggerating how pathetic he is makes him as pathetic as he's pretending to be. So even when I know he's completely full of ****, I still feel better about myself. :D

That was one of the most bizarre experiences of my life.

The good thing about conference calls is you don't have to participate unless you hear your name called.

When I hear my name, I'm usually in a light slumber and I snap out of it to throw around a buzzword or two.

Seriously, they are teh succage.
