I like these night games, but why can't we get them in September, when it's 90 degrees in the afternoon?

Night games are great for me. I can work in the yard (or run errands) during the day and watch the game at night.

We have such a better T.V. contract than the Pac 10. Did you know you guys in Oklahoma won't even get ASU-Oregon? Two top five teams playing and just on FSN regional coverage. Pathetic. Glad I can see almost all OU games from home in Arizona.

Bingo! I was saying that when I heard about the A&M game on Saturday night! We roast early in the season in the afternoon and get cold late in the season at night!

Some of you people have no idea. I became a Sooner fan when we had MAYBE 3 games on TV in a season. If the fans in the stands having to be slightly uncomfortable is the price to pay for every game being on TV, no big deal.

I'll always bitch about 11am games. It's way too early. Let the crappy big10 teams have those timeslots since no one wants to watch their games. I'll take primetime.

Hell Yeah! I was hoping for another night game, I was at the OU-mizzOU game and had a blast. I hope the Sooners roll Baylor.

I was a fan when we were lucky to get on air twice in a season: OU-Texas, Ou-Nebraska (maybe) and then a bowl game. And then we had to endure no TV coverage in 1974 and 1975, thanks to probation.

If OU ISU wouldn't have been on TV, we'd still be #5 in the BCS! The 0-7 score at the half was a killer.

Ain't it the truth...we had to rely on Big Bob and Mike Treps while holding our transistors to our ears...at least, that's what we did at Central State while in the stands cheerin' on the mighty, mighty Broncos. :D

But back then Big Bob and a flask was all you needed for a good Saturday!;)

Brooks forever!!

When I was overseas, and he was on AFRTS - I could actually understand what was happening during a game. I think BBS is/was still drinking from the flask!

Yep, KU is undefeated 8 games into the season.....if they were the typical 2-6 this game wouldn't have had a shot of being on TV.

Dont take this personal, but I think it is more that KU is undefeated is why they are on TV....

Man, don't be hatin on the fat dude in the DP commercial.
That's aTm running back Japorksky Lane.

And yes I can still hear BBS saying "Owens over the left side. 10, 5 runs over one tackler, by another at the 1. TOUCHDOWN OU"!
Not as good as being there or watching it on HD, but the momory is just a vivid.

I still hate 11:30 games, :) , but I am always sitting there, read to jump up and celebrate each TD. The only thing better is when I am sitting there in the stadium. Again, the 11:30 start rushes the pre-game experience.

Oklahoma State is tied with OU for the north lead. I'll admit that KU is the primary reason, but they aren't the only reason. If OSU beats UT, we'll be ranked next week and will (most likely) be playing OU for the south.

So true. And sometimes we had to cross our fingers to get OU-UT!

You need to clean your crack pipe. KU is the ONLY reason it is being televised.

Mandell of si.com had a great blog about the crappy Pac 10 tv contract. He also mentioned how the MWC tv contract, with The Mountain Sports Network has basically caused the MWC to disappear off the face of the earth. Be happy we have the contract we have. The Big 10 Network pretty much proves that point too.
