We're thinking of driving over for the big Centennial doins'. I think its worth it to take a day off and to be in the town where TR's telegram was rec'd offishully declaring this here little piece of heaven on Earth a brand new state!

If'n any of you hillbillys want to join us, perhaps we could do a bit of a tailgate. Reenactment of the telegram ceremony and other stuff will begin at 9am. Parade at 11am. Guthrie is putting on a free BBQ for up to 20,000 of us Okies for nary a penny from 1-3pm.

I'll be there!

Thinking about going in period dress, but regardless, count me in.

Me! I have my B&B lined up for the night before. I'm working the media tent so I have to be there by 7.

And, if you're a hard-working, quasi-state employee like yours truly, you get this day off for "Statehood Day." :D

Statehood day is one of my two favorite holidays that week. I loves the 3 day work week.

I only go to Guthrie when the gunfights occur and someone gets shot in the middle of the street.

BTW, true story.
