Yeah, I would say since UConn is ahead of USC this is it. Glad to see WVU didn't pass us. We gotta start winning impressively...N-O-W!!!

Well I hope kansas keeps winning! If they make it closer to the top and we beat them we will be in good shape.

yeah, that's what i'm thinking. the computers like Jayhawks way more than the Tigers

we basically get nothing out of beating Mizzou again

Eventhough no teams above us in the human polls lost alot of teams ahead of us in the computers lost. We went from 14th to 8th in the computers this week.

Great point! So we need Missouri and Texas to keep winning...and Kansas for that matter and beat them as an unbeaten team in the Big 12 title game.

I think we need teams to lose late. B.C. losing in the ACC Championship and Ohio State losing to Michigan would be great for us.

I would be happy with just winning. It's best to not be greedy when it comes to the "football gods," because everytime you get greedy, another last-second field goal goals through the uprights off your opponent's foot.

FWIW, the reason we moved up in the computers isn't because of Missouri and Texas, it's because South Florida, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida, and Kentucky were all ahead of us in the computers and lost.

but it doesn't hurt that Mizzou and Saxet won.:P

we just need to keep winning, i think attrition is our friend

I disagree, it always hurts when Texas wins.

I hate having this debate every year, the BCS is garbage and people who support it should be beat to death. Playoff NOW!!!!

It would be so amazing if b.c. lost to Miami.

More Texas wins (especially against opponents who aren't common between us) = better SOS for OU

Don't let texas hatred blind you

and as far as recruiting go's, ut will get their players and we'll get ours

The winner of the Oregon-Arizona State game is going to be a problem.

Got that right. One week at a time.

Last week was not a bad week, all-in-all. A lot of teams who could have jumped us later lost (i.e. VT- they were saying that even before BC made that comeback). I would no longer worry about the teams behind us that could matter in this (MU,KU,or WVU). WVU lost to their only significant game-USF- and we control what happens with MU and KU.

I hope it's Az St. They still have to play USC. Oregon has already played them and cal.

Maybe not. The PAC-10 is a mess. We need to pull for ASU. They still have SUC, UCLA, and the rivalry game with AZ. The team to root for is UCLA. They are schizophrenic (they lost to Wazzu, Utah, and ND), but can beat teams above them. They have both ASU and UO (and I believe at home). We should be at #4 by the end of next week (Tide over LSU and the UO/ASU loser dropping).

How 'bout if, by some miracle, Mike Stoops beat ASU AND Oregon in the last few weeks of the season? Man, that would be awesome........................................... .................................................. .....................

....and ain't happening!

Agree. WV will not jump us with a bye the last week the same time we beat top 10 Missouri or better yet undefeated and top 5-6 ranked KU.

It would help our cause in the computers a ton if Miami were able to beat BC.
