I was just going to buy a 500 gig for my backups, but for $100 more I can get 1 tb. They're under $250 now. Just crazy.

that is nuts.

I think I've posted this before, but when I started working for Seagate we sold our first 1gb drive for $1,000.

i bought a Western Digital 250g external in July and saw the 500 version for the same price a week later.

I'd love to get a 1 TB drive . . . then I could get rid of some of my 3 externals I currently use.
