Any of you Weather Gurus know how the weather is supposed to be this winter? Are we in for another snow filled winter or is it just going to be cold and dry the whole time?

Heres a link to the Farmers Almanac weather. It says they go up to 2 months. I suppose its just as reliable as anything else.

Speaking for someone in the HVAC business, I hope it's as cold as Hell everywhere but where I am so we can sell more furnaces!:D

I hope not. I work for a ready mix concrete company and it is very weather dependent (we don't work when it snows). Last year I signed up for snow removal (driving a snow plow) and it gave me something to do when the ice came. This year I decided not to do that. Wife doesn't want me to. So, I guess she decided for me  It didn't pay enough.

<< 3month Temperature outlook from the climate prediction center. They like above average chances for a WARMER winter than normal for most of the country

"SINCE LA NINA IS EXPECTED DURING NOVEMBER, COMPOSITES FROM PAST LA NINAS HAVE
BEEN USED EXTENSIVELY IN THIS FORECAST. U.S. LA NINA IMPACTS OFTEN INCLUDE
RELATIVE DRYNESS IN THE SOUTH AND HEAVIER THAN MEDIAN RAINFALL IN THE
NORTHWEST, ALONG WITH WARMER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS OVER MUCH OF THE CONUS, AND
COLDER THAN NORMAL TEMPERATURES IN ALASKA. "

Colder than normal in Alaska? What is it going to be? A Billion below zero or something?

:D

The easiest way to know if it's going to be a nasty winter is to watch for the Snow Bunny and if he casts a shadow your gonna need two cords of wood for the stove.

I'll let you know when i see my first wooly-worm of the fall. My Ardmore granpaw always contended you could predict the severity of the weather based on the relative wooliness of wooly-worms.;)
