View Full Version : PSA (In case you forgot): The Sugar Bowl is NOT the BCS/MNC game

I've seen a few folks around here refer to the Sugar Bowl as if it were the BCSMNC game. It ain't. The Sugar is 01 JAN; the BCSMNC is 07 JAN at the same place.

We now resume or regular program of innerwed inanity.

I said the same thing a couple of weeks ago, but for some reason it keeps getting said.

The thing is: Does everyone think we were in the BCS championship last year? If the answer is no, then they oughtta know better.

LOL...No kidding! But I sure wish we'd been in Florida's shoes! Woulda been great to take advantage of the worst championship game performance since...oh...Since ever as I can't bring myself to say the thing that can't be said.

Does anyone (besides OUinFLA :rolleyes: ) think that this extra game after the bowls is a step toward making other bowls a play-off to get into the extra game?

zzzz. i've called it the sugar bowl, knowing darn well it's not THE sugar bowl, but rather, the REAL bowl at the sugar bowl.

"Sugar Bowl MNC"
"Sugar Bowl championship"
or
"Champeeeenship @ Sugar Bowl"
work just as well as any other championship reference to location.

I just dont think there should be two Sugar Bowls.
We as a country are already too overweight.
