Gundy's comments here are interesting. I wonder what this means. Sorry if it's been posted already.
From newsok.com:

Backup quarterback Bobby Reid (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Bobby+Reid&CATEGORY=PERSON) was "inactive” for Oklahoma State (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Oklahoma+State+University&CATEGORY=ORGANIZATION)'s game Saturday night against Kansas State, and Alex Cate (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Alex+Cate&CATEGORY=PERSON) would have been the replacement had starter Zac Robinson (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Zac+Robinson&CATEGORY=PERSON) been injured, OSU (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Oklahoma+State+Cowboys&CATEGORY=ORGANIZATION) coach Mike Gundy (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Mike+Gundy&CATEGORY=PERSON) said after the Cowboys (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Oklahoma+State+Cowboys&CATEGORY=ORGANIZATION)' 41-39 victory at Boone Pickens Stadium (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Boone+Pickens+Stadium&CATEGORY=ATTRACTION).

"He had some personal issues and missed two practices (Wednesday and Thursday) and was not going to play in the game tonight,” Gundy (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Mike+Gundy&CATEGORY=PERSON) said. "He wasn't unaccounted for, but he had some personal issues.
"I knew what was going on, that he had personal issues, but he should have been at practice, and he knows that. So he was not going to play in this game.”
Reid (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Bobby+Reid&CATEGORY=PERSON) started a few games as a freshman in 2005 and started every game in 2006. But he was replaced as the starter after two games this season and has played sparingly since.
Cate (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Alex+Cate&CATEGORY=PERSON) and Brandon Weeden (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Brandon+Weeden&CATEGORY=PERSON) shared backup snaps Wednesday and Thursday in practice, but Reid (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Bobby+Reid&CATEGORY=PERSON) did attend the quarterbacks meeting on Friday.
Gundy (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Mike+Gundy&CATEGORY=PERSON) said Reid (http://newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Bobby+Reid&CATEGORY=PERSON)'s issues stemmed from "a lot of different things. Some was football. Some was other things. It wasn't all football, but it was part of football.
"The best way to describe it would be almost like losing someone in your family and you're OK, then a month later it hits you. That's kind of what he went through for a couple of days. He had to make a decision. "I wasn't going to play him in the game. It wasn't like he was suspended. Inactive is a nice term.”

On BBJ's show this morning, the Jokelahoman's aggy insider, whoever it is, said that Reid was contemplating quitting the team and might still transfer in December but was back with the squad and at practice now.

Jenni was right.
Yes.
She was correct.
An apology is in order.
Gundy should send a gift.
Fried chicken would be dandy.
She could eat a bucket of it.
I bet!

Allow me to translate:

Bobby: Oh my God, I was a Nike Elite 11 quarterback, the biggest recruit ever to go to Oklahoma State and had the potential to become truly great. I've been benched. Now I'm just a backup on a .500 team and I've probably destroyed any chance of ever playing for this team again. I think I'm going to throw up. Or quit. Maybe both.

Gumby: It's OK Bobby, but since I nearly had an aneurysm defending you in that press conference a few weeks ago, if you quit, I'll kill you. I don't mean "ha ha, I'm going to kill you", I mean, "I am going to end you if you quit now". Please don't completely melt down until after we find out if we're bowl eligible or not. Plzkthx.

Since when does college football have an "inactive" list?

Next he gonna say we had to release him because of the salary cap

If he transfers, would that be one of the "right things" that Gundy discussed in his press conference?

you can't really convince that anything Robinson has done is that much better than what Reid was doing. But that's OSU football for you.

This just in form OP.com...

Bobby Reid is transferring to "UO" because "UO" apparently would trade all of their players for just one "experienced" quarterback. :D

Death threats will soon follow his departure.

I heard from a VERY RELIABLE source that it wasn't her unwashed hands. It was bad breast milk.

Viral infection of the brain from bad chicken.

Chickingitis (say: Chi-kun-jye-tus) is a disease involving inflammation (swelling), or irritation, of the chickigens. There are different kinds of chickingitis, but most of the time it is caused by chicken germs, especially chicken viruses.

i heard he missed practice because he's been stricken with a bad case of the meat sweats from all the chicken his momma feeds him.

If I were him, I'd bail out. He could transfer, sit out and play for a team that has good talent and no QB (results no withstanding), like Neb. this season.

I have always thought that Gundy threw him under the bus and "the rant" was just the icing on the cake.

Who proclaimed him not the next Vince Young - the first Bobby Reid?

Who put him in a starting position and had to know he didn't have the stuff to deal with it?

Who benched him with no explanation?

Who drew the national attention to the DOK article and got the media limelight, i.e. America's Coach?

Good for Jenni, who finally got one right.

Jenneee's insider sources indicated that Bobby Reid overtorqued his ******nozzle and had to take a two-week powder/chickenspa break.

Mike Gundy was quite compassionate about the whole incident, because if anyone knows the intricacies of the ******nozzle, it's Mike Gundy.

D00d was an Elite 11 QB who finished second to Bomar in that competition, was ranked right behind guys named Peterson, Bomar & Okam in the state of Texas and was if I'm not mistaken the 3rd or 4th QB in the country at the time. He was by far Okie Suck's biggest recruit evar, so yeah, there was A LOT of pressure on him without Hair Gel doing much of anything.

Sooner: "That your dog?"

Cowboy: "Yep."

Sooner: "Mind if I speak to him?"

Cowboy: "The dog doesn't talk."

Sooner: "Hey dog, how's it going?"

Dog: "Doin' all right."

Cowboy: (Look of shock!)

Sooner: "Is this OSU fan your owner?" (Pointing at the poke...)

Dog: "Yep."

Sooner: "How's he treating you?"

Dog: "Real good. He walks me twice a day, feeds me great food and takes
me to the lake once a week to play."

Cowboy: (Look of total disbelief)

Sooner: "Mind if I talk to your horse?"

Cowboy: "The horse doesn't talk."

Sooner: "Hey horse, how's it going?"

Horse: "Cool."

Cowboy: (Extreme look of shock!)

Sooner: "Is this your owner?" (Pointing to the poke again..)

Horse: "Yep."

Sooner: "How's he treating you?"

Horse: "Pretty good, thanks for asking, he rides me, brushes me down
often and keeps me in a lean-to to protect me from the weather."

Cowboy: (Look of total amazement)

Sooner: "Mind if I talk to your sheep?"

Cowboy: "The sheep is a lyin piece of sh*t."

Well......does T. Boone have a salary cap?

Bobby has been placed on the P.U.P list and will look to join the ranks of free agency after this season. I wonder if Gel-a-noma docked his pay for the time he missed at practice a la Minnesota? Heh.

On a side note, I still can't get over Lou's pep talk, re: sheep aggies:

"If you squeeze oranges, you get orange juice. If they squeeze you, they get a winner. Causth thath what ya aaaarrrree." Incredible stuff.
