#4 behind Ohio St, BC and LSU. Big jump in points from around .91 for LSU to around .75 for us. The computers still hate us. #15 in the computer average. Jumped to #3 in the Harris Poll though!

Happens when you think you can just show up and win. This isn't 1974

Yea, I noticed the update time when I clicked yer link.

Kinda' funny that after having been carried to two championship games by the computers, this time it's the human voters keeping us in the mix in spite of the computers.

Our margin to make up is .0037 but the jump between #4 and #3 is huge.

So it looks like we root for USC next week. Comps hate USC more than they hate us.

The thing is...that's exactly what happens in the BCS....2000

If you win...you go to the show.

If you lose one you wait your turn.

Huh.

If we win it you don't think OSU,BC and LSU could lose a game? Or at least 2 of theose 3?

BC loses Thurs.
OSU could lose @PSU or @Mich...odds are they lose 1
Florida will beat LSU in the SEC championship

It's likely going to come down to how we play in Lubbock and if we win there San Antonio.

How do you know that? There is still alot of football left to play! Ohio State still has to play Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin! They could lose and most likely will! Boston college has Virginia Tech this weekend and Clemson later on. One of those teams could beat them! LSU has Bama to play, they could lose in that contest. Yes if everything stays the way it is now we will be Fiesta Bowling but who knows what is going to happen? We could very well lose between now and then. It is still to early to know where we are going. Let's go get that Big XII Championship and then let the chips fall where they may(Tostito's or not). We will make a great bowl game!!!

SPREAD IT ON!!!

Even if OU stand #6th in BCS behind ASU and Oregon, I do think that every team above OU will due to one lost each.

Just keep winning.

This one appears to have captured all the computer ranking providers.

To be honest all of this bcs talk is making it difficult to just enjoy the games from week to week. Who to say that if Ohio State or BC loses they wont remain in front of us. In fairness, yesterday it didnt look as if we ca n beat anyone of note.

No worries mates! Next week AZ is going down. BC is going down. Ohio is going down.

I say we win against BYE ;-) So to number 2 we go!

How does Oregon jump from 10 to 5 in one week by beating a mediocre Washington team?

Cause they throttled Michigan on the road? Combined with the losses over the weekend.

BTW, Michigan is ahead of OU on Billingsley's computer poll...

What hurt the most is that OU just beat Iowa State 17-7, these same cyclones were beaten by

1. Average Texas team 56-3
2. Kent State 23-14
3. Northern Iowa 24-13
4. Toledo 36-35
5. Nebraska 35-17
6. Texas Tech 42-17

Do you think our sooners should be ranked all that high ?

If our boys play anymore games like they did yesterday, it will all work out in the end and we won't have to worry about the BCS standings.

Oregon and Az State probably have to play each other (and USC) so no worries - the losses are coming for them too :D

The fact of the matter is that we once used the "well you lost a game too" argument to USC at al in years past when the bcs favored us, so yeah, gotta take the good with the bad in a system like this.

USC @ Oregon next week. USC also has to play ASU. Ore and ASU also play each other sometime too.

Yep OU #6, having been jumped by friggin Oregon.... who battled with Wash. before pulling away late.... whatever.

Next we face bye. Let the BC and the rest of them battle it out so we can move up by not playing.

This is what I'm REALLY confused about. Can someone please explain how the computers have Missouri ranked ahead of us? I would love to hear the explanation.

Last I knew MOV had been taken out, making all this irrelevant. Did that change?

We just have to win. We will start to get some computer love. No matter how bad out upcoming schedule may look, it will help us in the computers. Of course these will change in upcoming wks, but look where these teams stand now.... A&M 6-2, Baylor 3-5, Tech 6-2, OSU 5-3. This will help offset Utah St 0-7, N. Tex 1-6, Iowa St 1-7. We have to keep winning. We need Kansas to go undefeated. Everyone may think we need Mizzu to win out, but making it to Conf Championship game and beating a 12-0 Kansas team would be a big feather in our hat. It all looks ugly now. We just have to be patient and take care of our business. We don't have to win pretty. Not one person can say Ohio St. won pretty 5 or 6 yrs ago. They had several close calls.

I was disappointed with how we looked yesterday, but when it was all over with, we got the W. We need 5 more (1 at a time) and I really think we will be okay. Especially with what has already been mentioned and that is who the other teams have to play.

BOOMER !!!

One thing they pointed out on TV yesterday was that we haven't really played well on the road. They said the RRR game and the Tulsa game weren't really true road games, and in the 2 "real" road games (CU and ISU), we struggled.
