View Full Version : Tuberville is the dumbest coach in NCAA football!

First, he doesn't challenge a very bad spot on 3rd down (which resulted in a first for LSU). There was no doubt the ball would have been re-spotted.

Then, he "saves" TWO (2!) timeouts.

And, again, Tuberville costs Auburn another possible win.

I wouldn't normally care, but it would have been nice to have LSU out of the picture.

When are coaches going to learn that saving timeouts to "ice" the kicker is a stupid strategy and NEVER works?

Tuberville is a fool.

LSU was even helping Auburn out by running option plays out of bounds.

It's official. You're an idiot. Les Miles singlehandedly almost lost that game for LSU. It was plain stupid to throw into the end zone on the last play. The clock could have easily run out on them if that pass isn't completed.

Those short bouncy kicks are a good idea if your kicker can not kick deep with the new rule kicking from the 30, but not at the end of the game to give your opponet great field position to win the game! Tubberville should have also called a timeout right before that last play! What a total tool! Poor coaching lost that game for Auburn. And once again, The closet Aggie pulled another one out of his rear! It won't happen at Bama though. All SEC teams will end up having at least two losses, but don't be suprised if one of them make it to the NC game......UGH!

LSU is GARBAGE! OU will win the national championship...mark it down. LSU will lose another game and OU will destroy Ohio State at the Sugar Bowl in January. Then we will reload again next year and win it again with an experienced QB. In the mean time, LSU fans will turn on Les Miles and he will flee to Michigan, where he will continue to coach...poorly.

I agree, Ohio State will not make it to the NC game. I say "even IF"" LSU makes it to the SEC champ. game, Florida wins out and wins a revenge game. If we win out we will be in the championship game. If LSU wins out, then thats who we play. And I have watched several of their games and I truly believe that les miles will get them beat either before or during the NC game. Dont be surprised if West Virginia is in there at the end.

An no, LSU will not be in the NC game. Your team is inconsistent and your coach is a moron. You could overcome one of those factors, but both means you'll have another loss, maybe 2, by season's end.

I'll agree with the first one. Not so sure about the second, but we did get our top wide receiver back and managed to then roll up about 500 yards of offense. Think you guys would be as great on offense with Kelly out?

That wasn't aimed at you deek. You're an LSU fan that posts here, not an LSU troll.

And yes, I know the inconsistency is due in large part to injuries (same with USC). Regardless of the cause, it's inconsistency, just like my team has shown this season. I just don't see LSU winning out with that AND Miles as HC, is all.

The announcers made a similar comment. I am old and was in college in the late 60s so I know there are a few crisp brain cells, but I recall hearing that the clock stops on an incompletion. Did they change that?

There is a possibility of a tipped ball that would run the last second off, and an interception, etc.

The bottom line is that coaching decisions are never to be questioned when they work. If he had trotted the kicker out there and he were to miss one..........

OU almost and SHOULD have lost to Iowa State yesterday. Are we watching the same team? You might want to wake up and get real about OU's chances of winning a NC. I'm the biggest fan as the next guy but this team does not play well outside of Norman.

Sooner Stew
10/21/2007, 08:27 AM
thats a good point...they don't play well on the road which is totally understandable...but we all just need to realize that they have to get the job done with whatever team they have to show up on that particular day...they won't always bring their A game...as you saw today they played their C game and still won so it just goes to show that if OU would've been up for the game that they would've easily blown the cyclones out...you also have to see that Iowa St. was playing their hearts out and they just weren't fast or strong enough to keep up the pace but they came out fighting and I respect that...and also given that its probably pretty tough to get pumped up about playing Iowa St....the fact of the matter is that they did what they needed to to get the W...period and It wasn't too pretty but i think OU is a great team and especially at home and im betting that by the time the Big 12 Championship rolls around I think they'll be able to play as good when they're away from owen field...

No one would have questioned it. With just a few seconds remaining and with a chip shot FG to win it, kicking the FG would have been the right choice.

Tuberville is an idiot for not kicking it deeper and saving two timeouts. As for Miles' playcall at the end, if you look at the clock when the ball is caught by the reciever there are 3 or 4 seconds on the clock and then it ran down to 1. Assuming that he dropped and and the clock showed 0 couldn't Miles have challenged the time on the clock, gotten it reset with 1 or 2 left and then kicked the field goal? I realize that he lost track of the time on the clock, which is an unpardonable sin, but they probably still would have had a chance to kick the field goal.
