a playoff system... this would be the one.... Trying to decide at this point who the favorite teams are to play for all the marbles is impossible.

It is the only thing that sucks about college football...

besides Texas...

and Okie State

Playoff system is a bad idea.

Think about that. The reason this season (hey, that rhymes) would be good for a playoff is because there appears to be no dominant teams. So a playoff would give us a champ by default. Which is what you get sometimes with a playoff system. The best team doesn't always win. We could have the best 2 or 3 teams get beat and end up with a team maybe no better than the 8th best team. Sometimes I think I'd like a playoff but at least every year we are just about guaranteed that the champ was probably no worse that the 3rd best team, if not 1 or 2.

We're looking at possibly having a 4th shot in 8 years at a MNC...

Exactly how would a playoff system benefits us?

I'm really having trouble with the concept.

What an original thought. I've only had it pounded into my head the last 3 weeks by every college football show.

Boo playoff. Hoo-ray Beer!

When you have this much apparent parity among so many teams, a playoff system is the only logical choice.............but don't expect logic to become reality.

A plus one is the only other option. The #5 team at the end of the season never has a claim to the title.

So if 'Bama ever makes the playoff, do they automatically get to claim another NC?

I'm pro-playoff, but no automatic tie-ins please...
