and Nebraska only rushed for 130 yards. Nebraska had a good passing day, but it looks like Mcgee torched them on the option for 167 yards on 35 carries (that's incredible a QB rushing the ball 35 times) and JaPorkey added on another 130 yards (8.3 ypc). Hell, I think we could even run the ball on Nebraska. I bet the corn fans are lined up outside of Memorial Stadium just waiting to stack it on Bill, after someone torching them on the option for 167 yards. The slash may not even be able to get a gig as an OC with a D-1 team after this year. Good game in the 1st half it looks like but aTm shut out Nebraska in the 2nd half. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=272930158&confId=4

The tone of your post makes it sound as if you are surprised by this happenstance. You really shouldn't be, Nebraska is a very poor football team, and as such they tend to give up lots of yards to mediocre teams, and even poor teams.

The tone of your post makes it sound as if you are surprised by this happenstance. I am surprised about aTm running for that much, after tech shutting them down on the road to only a little over a couple of hundred yards, and the Nebraska O being shut out in the 2nd half. I watched the Clownahan show last week on Fox, and he kept stammering we've just got to make plays. He seemed to think they were in position and I DVRed the game which was played back on Fox Sports Central and watched about a quarter and a half of it, and it looked like they were in pretty good defensive position against the aggies but couldn't tackle worth a crap. No question that Nebraska D is one of the slowest on earth though and that may explain them getting torched on the option. Didn't see it in the stats but those 3 Nebraska fumbles must have come in the 2nd half.

One of the talking heads (?) just said that Callanberger would not be returning to nebish next year. Geez, do you think...but he said it like he wanted to be the first to utter this profound thought.

Well, Nebraska fans have been dying to see a rushing attack in their own stadium again. They got what they wanted! :D :D :D

I feel bad for NU, but they'll be back. Once they dump Callahan, they'll eventually get it going again. It might take a long while, but Nebraska is too good of a program to not make it back up to elite status as they once were.

Callahan gave up play calling to Shawn Watson, the in-name-only OC, in the first half. We rolled up 28X yards and looked pretty good. Too good for Callahan, apparently, who took over play calling and led us to zero points and less than 100 yards. The dude is so ******* fired.

On the brightside, the defense managed to give up less than 500 yards for the first time in five games.

Does this game prove who has the world's most powerful offense, Gumby or Fran?

I bet my kidney that Calahan will be gone by the end of this year and the whole Neb coaching staff+players have known that. They just give up.

What does OSU win over NU have to do with anything? Bet when the time comes 95% of OU fans will be shaking in their boots when OU/OSU plays

nah, when the time comes to get down to business, the pokes won't have much of a chance. if the game was in the stool, i'd be a bit concerned.

but thanks for coming out! always lovely for you to stop by.
