Graham Harrell is having an amazing season...Yah, yah...He is a product of the system, but come on....He has thrown for 31 TD's on only 3 INT's...That is insane...The Offense is averaging, 9.08 yards per play....He has thrown for over 3,100 yards with a 74.4% completion rate....

ESPN has put him in the websites Heisman cadidate race...It isnt necessarily official, but if he continues like this for the rest of the season, he will be invited to New York...

Thoughts?

If the Rainbow Warrior QB is in the discussion, I see no reason why Harrell shouldn't be.

I think he stubs his Heisman toe on November 17.

I hope so too, I just happen to see his TD to INT ratio, and his completion% with as many passes he has thrown this year already and was shocked...I never said that a very solid defense couldn't stop them...i.e. OU.

Hope to gawd OUr middle pass coverage improves or else Jeremy Crabtree might just make that final catch he couldn't make at Augua De La Stool. As Stoops said, a few key mistakes, and if you're not 100% on top of your game, anyone can beat you.

Very good numbers...

But I think Sam will beat him in final season QB rating. What's more, I think he'll lose some Heisman luster when we play 'em but that he'll still get the NY invite. He probably won't win it though. Too mnay people assuming that it IS only the system.

Crabtree is real. Harrell is real. They'd be good most anywhere.

That said, OU wins by more than 10.

I'll bet the Tech game goes just as frustratingly as the Mizzou game, but ends up a FG game, being on the road (and a better offense, IMHO). Basicaly Stoops surrenders yards and points in a prevent D, which melts the clock and prevents meltdowns from biting us in the arse ala Colorado.

Put yer laser scope on Garrett, we need thee.

I think we'll destroy them...Harrell's gonna go down at least 10 times in that game and throw 3 INTs and fumble one.

There's about 100 QB's I would rather face.

I think he's good too, i just don't think he's faced the likes of OU and I don't think he can avoid a heavy pass rush against OU. If we play conservative I'm worried, but if we're aggressive and running a lot of man coverage they are doomed.

If anyone has the secret ingredient to keeping him from piling up huge yardage, they haven't displayed it yet.

He loses to Missouri, Texas and OU. The heisman people aren't going to invite
a player on a 8-4 team going to the Alamo Bowl to NYC. It's all about the best players on the best teams. Tech dosen't qualify.

A&M and Iowa St are their highlight wins and they both are TERRIBLE. He did well aginst Ok St but they suck and have a terrible defense.

So your saying he's a Top 20 qb? No arguments with that. If I recall he didn't do **** aginst OU last season.

So what do you think his stats will be against us?

I am guessing something like 34-44-450-4TD-2INT

He won't come anywhere close to that completion percentage, yards or touchdown passes

I wonder how many of his gazillion completions have been for more than 20 yards actually thrown down field. Sure, those little zip passes to the wideout at the line of scrimage will get you YAC, but just how good of a passer is he when he's got to get the ball deep and the blitz is on? Hmmmm........No doubt will the mighty Crimson have to bring their best game of the year to west Texass. Ball control with a solid running game, decent special teams play, and ZERO turnovers should get the job done. The Mizzou / Tech game today should be a doozy and fun to watch :pop:
