A common theme (other than "them gooners are cheaters!") amongst the correctional facility orange set is that they play a much tougher schedule than, well, everybody else apparently. Yes, that's right--the fans of a team that plays a D-IAA team almost every year are bringing the SOS smack.

Hey little brother, you play Missouri State so often you should have the game in Broken Arrow every year. It's between Stillwater and Springfield, and there's a stadium you might come close to selling-out.

P.S. SOS only matters if you actually win your games against your toughest opponents.

I've also noticed that they aren't too happy that they get no TV coverage this week, not even PPV. They can't stand the fact that OU vs. ISU and Texas vs. Baylor will get twice the ratings that OSU vs. KSU would get.

So if the pokes were smart (and we know, after 100 years of Oklahoma statehood, that Pokes are not smart), they would have an easy schedule, be undefeated and be ranked like Boston College! Awwww... sorry, little sister school. Looks like the only media attention your football program will get this season is your coach, who by the way, is A MAN! He's 40!

I could turn on both of my TVs and top their ratings all by myself.

Where's the news here? We already knew about their sheep on sheep thing. A recent study of porn on the net showed that 95% of the hot man on sheep or sheep on sheep action is filmed in Stoolwater by an assortment of fraternities, professors, and wrestlers.

Come one guys, their SOS is much harder than OUrs. I mean come on, they play OU, that definitely helps bolster their SOS, hell we have to play lOSUr, that right there kills OUr SOS. :D

Anybody that beats them is going to play for the national championship, and teams they beat are top ten material.

Re: Maybe we should move to the Big East.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2010 Season

It should be conference champions playing against each other in a BCS computer seeding format. Six BCS conference champions plus the next two highest BCS computer ranked mid major conference champions. For example:

Game 13:

Ohio State vs Hawaii - Rose Bowl
Boston College vs Cincinnati - Orange Bowl
Kentucky vs Virginia Tech - Sugar Bowl
California vs Oklahoma State- Fiesta Bowl

Game 14:

Kentucky vs Boston College - @ Kentucky
Ohio State vs Oklahoma State - @ tOSU

Game 15:

Kentucky vs Oklahoma State - Cotton Bowl @ Jerry World

I thought I have posted some crappy comments in the past but this is by far the most hilarious I have ever seen. I sure hope he really means basketball...The Sutton Slam. Freakin Aggroid.

I work with a guy who, in keeping with aggy tradition, is now saying that osu will win out, and go to the fiesta, while saying that Troy could have beat anybody on OU's schedule. Delusional Aggy Syndrome.

it sounds terminal

To be fair, we had a fluke game too with Colorado. As a certain former USC quarterback said after losing to Vince Young, "we would beat them 99 times out of 100" or whatever, and I'm sure OSU could beat Troy if given another chance.

But this is a season of second chances, now isn't it? If OSU really thinks they should be known for something other than a coach's tirade, PROVE IT. Make statement wins like we did against Texas and Mizzou. Texas Tech would have been a halfway one if it weren't for that whole... you know... rant and stuff... and giving up 700 yards and all...

After they got dominated by Georgia, they were claiming that the Dawgs would win the Big 12 if they were in this conference. Then Georgia laid an egg at home against South Carolina the next week, and two weeks ago they got blown out of the water by Tennessee and barely escaped Vandy last Saturday, while the Pokes got embarrassed by Troy and then let Fran of all coaches come back and beat them.

So much for that theory.

The SOS ranking to which Aggy refers is the NCAA ranking which does not include games against non-D-I opponents. As a result, playing Sam Houston State, which is a HUGE hit to SOS in every single other calculation, doesn't count in the one Aggy crows about. I think Aggy is around #40 in Sagarin SOS.

Classic Aggy.

Sam Houston State is Division I-AA, Troy moved up to Division I-A some years ago like North Texas and Arkansas State.

I agree that it will be a better game, but it is all about ratings with the TV stations. OSU is just one of those teams that gets on TV based on who they play, much like Baylor or ISU.

To be honest, I'm a little surprised that the KSU/OSU game isn't on TV either. I don't think it would be as bad a game as some of you think. Certainly more competitive than OU/ISU and Texas/Baylor.

bluedogok

Competitiveness means nothing to TV people, it is all about ratings. More people will watch either OU-ISU or UT-Baylor than would watch OSU-KSU.
