No car repair knowledge needed. If it breaks down or gets a flat, you can just pick it up and walk away.

No joke, I saw an article on that car not too long ago and I was seriously considering buying one.

First thing that popped into my head was the scene from "40 year Old Virgin" in which they were saying:

"You know how I know you're ghey ... ?" ;)

Seriously though, me and Mrs. Seamus have a Prius.

Parking? Hell, I'd just drive it into the building, onto the elevator, and park it in my cubicle...

I saw a full grown man on a scooter last week. Even had a mudflap on the back wheel. heh. He had a chrome Darwin fish on it.

Where u from? San Fran? Hong Kong?

I believe the old worn-out saying:

A scooter is like a fat girl. They're fun to ride but you wouldn't want to be seen on one by your friends.

i thought that was mopeds :D

BRJ is right though, the chicks do dig the scooters. girls are always smiling at me as i ride by, as opposed to my car that attracts guys like flies on ****

Tint the windows and nobody can see you driving.

I think they're a smart idea. Basically an enclosed safer scooter?

yermom
10/17/2007, 12:55 PM
well, i'm not too fond of the idea of taking a scooter on the interstate. it might be analagous to a scooter to a car

i wouldn't mind using it to get groceries or driving to work, but i wouldn't want to be anywhere near I-35 in that thing

Boarder
10/17/2007, 01:02 PM
Really, how much are the well equipped Vespas? After reading about these I really like the idea. I don't know how I'd like it on I-35, either. That's kind of the thing about this part of the country. It's mostly so spread out you have to drive on higways a lot.

Btw, here is the website: http://www.smartusa.com/ a much better one.

yermom
10/17/2007, 01:12 PM
i kinda forgot they were Mercedes/Dodge/whatever

bleh. :P

can you even get new Vespas anymore?

Boarder
10/17/2007, 01:38 PM
Pretty sure that a Vespa is the scooter de BRJ.

yermom
10/17/2007, 01:40 PM
i think he has a Vespa clone, maybe he has a real one as well. i can't remember

someone was telling me you can get them from some company that imports them from somewhere and you can buy refurbished ones to your specs for like $2000

Boarder
10/17/2007, 01:49 PM
Oh, you can definitely get new ones.

Kind of crappy in the rain and cold, though.

200cc on that thing is pretty big...
