I enjoyed the series, C_P, but IMO the 2nd book was by far the worst of the three.

Let me know if you felt the same. I really need something else to read now....but I have no idea what. Some of the stuff Crawfish talks about seems intriguing, but it IS craw, so I just don't know...

So far, everybody who I've recommended it to has loved it. If you happen to enjoy hybrid fantasy/horror/detective stories, I should have nothing to worry about. :)

I wouldn't say I loved it, Clark....but I think your big toe is safe. I just finished book #3, and really want to get books 4-9 asap. The first one was a little slow getting going, but the second two were quite good. Your recommendation = PASS.

Hey C_P, finish that Odd book yet?

no, i still haven't even started Brother Odd. i'm still making my way through Velocity at the rate of 1 1/2 pages per bowel movement.

and technically, my wife is the bastard because she's making me hold down a steady job. i've had 4 days off in the past 36 days.

Bob, do yoursefl a favor and buy the first three books all at the same time. That way you will be forced to continue past the first one, which is IMO the worst of them all. The 3rd book is exceptional.

Sounds like a plan . . . I've got a ton of paperbacks I need to try and sell or trade in anyway.
