According to Soonersports.com, Sam is in the running for this award given to the most outstanding football player of the year. Only Tommy McDonald and Jason White have won this prestigious award for the Sooners.

Prolly not, but I am SO glad that this year's OU quarterback has played to this level of national recognition. This absolutely makes SB a front-runner for the Heisman going into next season......provided he stays constant through the rest of the schedule.

Beginning the season, according to "professional" forecasters, the QB position was the only question mark on the Sooner team. I think that question was answered.
