Sam is a distant 3rd behind Crabtree and Smelly.

Only 207 votes so far.

Crabtree for FOTY is like Harrell for Heisman, i.e. it's the system they're playing in, i.e. gimme a break. Not that he's not good, because he is, but the numbers don't tell the whole story

Thread has been up for 1 hour and Sam is tied with Crabtree for 2nd.

Crabtree is the real deal, system or not. Every player is a product of the system in which they play. He's a freshman and he has a zillion TD catches. He's good.

That being said, being a great WR and LEADING a team as a great QB are two completely different animals. Sam's leadership and poise are harder for a freshman to accomplish at QB than being a great WR. Sam is the man!

What the hell is Smelley doing that high? He just was named starter like 3 weeks ago and isn't putting up Sam's numbers. I go with Sam because QB is a harder position to start at as a FR then WR.

He won't get any recognition because of his team, but that QB for Nevada is pretty damn good. Runs like Vince Young and throws bullets.

Sam still on top. Did you all notice what this jackass Mizzou fan posted below the poll?

why people enlighten me why! Sam Bradford played a horrible gmae and yet he still gets the hype. Another great example of people only looking at the stats. If you watched the game Sam should have thrown 3 int's but missouri dropped them he is still a freshman and you can see it in the last 3 games. All i have to say is that Maclin is stil the most explosive player on the board and he still leads the nation in all purpose yards by the end of the year he will have 10+ tds 3 or more tds from punt and kick returns close to 800 yards recieving. 800 yards is a lot when you look at who Chase Daniel has to throw to. I mean the most ungaurdable player in college MARTIN "OMG GET OUT THE WAY" RUCKER along with Coffman danario alexander (46" vertical with pads) franklin and the running backs who ever it might be. I am telling you these players are all hurting each other by being NFL quality players In my opinion Maclin is a great athlete...but on that same note, he did fumble the handoff that we picked up and ran in. And IMHO that was where the momentum swung in our favor. And he says "look at that last 3 games"...did he not see how accurate (aside from a couple of passes) Sam was vs. Mizzou?? And the RRS where Sam played a great game. What a moron.

That sounded like it was written by an 8-year-old Missouri fan. The un-coverable, omg-get-out-of-the-way Rucker had 6 catches for (ahem) 35 yards there, tough guy!

If you compare their stats, Smelley isn't even good enough to hold Sam's clipboard. Even the site says that Smelley is the second best behind Sam.

There must be a lot of South Carolina homers voting.

TT is so passhappy, any reciever could dominate. Only 16% of their offense is running.
Imagine if OU's offense would be like that. Our total yardage is 3431. If you take 16% off that for the run, that would leave 2882 yards passing. Take off 200 yards for other passers and you have 2680 or so yards.
Slingin Sam has 1689 on 181 attempts and 4ints on those attempts.
Thats 9.33 per attempt. it would take 107 attempts more to get 1000 yards to equal 2680 and add 2 more int's.

2680 yards on 288 attempts. Against a much tougher schedule.

Not bad for a freshman for his 7th start.
