Honestly, I think it looks about right. LSU lost to a ranked Kentucky team...we lost to a horrible Colorado team. Good to see us in top 5

LSU will lose again, their offense isnt good enough to carry them through. Truly, I believe all the teams in front of us will lose, which could mean we may lose as well.

Looks about right...Boston College does not belong there...South Florida is a good team...Unfortunately...Arizona State is better than BC...Kansas is better than BC...Just saying, if you are going to put the 3 best undefeated teams in the top 3 spots...put the 3 best undefeated teams...

Were OK. Ohio State will lose to Michigan in the BIG HOUSE or Penn State, South Florida will lose this thursday at Rutgers or possibly to L'ville if Kragthorpe can find a defense. BC, they can't keep winning with mirrors. As for LSU, can you say Florida in the SEC championship game.

Can all this come true?

BOOMER SOONER and let's kick Iowa State's azz.

I still don't get all the computer love for the SEC; the conference isn't nearly as strong this season as people think.

Road losses don't hurt nearly as bad in the computer rankings, I like where we are. If OU just keeps winning everything else will fall into place.

I agree, good spot. 4 would be better just because I don't want OU to play LSU in the championship down in their area. Anything is possible

This is how I see it going down

Ohio loses to either michigan or penn state... or loses to both!

South Florida I hope loses this week but who knows. If they stay up in the top of the BCS I am going to puke ;)

I am also hoping Boston has issues next week and loses against number 11 Virgina Tech. If that doesn't work out they should get taken care off in their converence title game.

Auburn could take LSU but I really like the odds of a LSU Flordia or Kentucky in the SEC championship game.

If we stay on course we have the best cake walk to the BSC National Championship game.

7 SEC teams (nearly 8) are ranked so they get my vote as "strong". Nice to see 6 Big 12 teams ranked as well.

thre seems to be a wide gap between top 4 & 5(us). But it will all shake out, of course. Schedule-wise, us and SFU have best shot, but any 1 loss SEC team could beat us out, including KU, as weird as that sounds. Not that they wouldn't deserve to with that schedule.
Watching the cowboy game and seeing Welker score...i didn't know he was going to walk-on at OU until TT gave him a s'ship after someone bailed on them. Speaking of TT, that game concerns me more than anyone in the B12 Ch game does. Those meth-heads down there will have the crank tubs in full effect for that game.

I seriously thought we'd have to wait another week or 2 to get to the top 5, so this is great. Even better is that everyone ahead of us is gonna lose a game or 2 soon.

Tone, I agree with you about Tech. Leach has a run game and, for a change, left some speed and talent on the defensive side of the ball. His QB this year is the best he's had in Lubbock and that WR of theirs is just a freak.

Toughest team we'll play I think. We've been able to handle Tech's spread every year so far; still this year they are better than they've been in years past.

We just have to keep winning. We can pull for Kansas to go undefeated in the North. Beating a 12-0 Kansas team in the CCG would help a lot. It would have helped last week for LSU to lose to Fla. Again, LSU would pretty much be eliminated now with their 2nd loss. Oh well, we got one loss on them. Hopefully the SEC will catch up with them for a 2nd loss.

I'm sorry, what was the topic again? I got lost watching the Skank Sister Wars between the Lohans and the Spears...

Oh yeah...We'll concentrate on winning our games one by one, and we should see at least three of the teams above us lose again. BOOMER SOONER!

I gotta quit losing my concentration if I'm going to follow clickable links.

IMO, rankings mean absolutely nothing as past reputation means as much as how good you are now, if not more.

Regarding the SEC's strength, just going on memory, I thought I read that they were 10-9 in nonconference games this year. Maybe that was 10-9 against ranked opponents, but in any event, wasn't all that imposing a record.

I agree. I bet $5 for LSU to have one more loss expecially when they play Florida again.

I bet $10 buck that LSU will not play NC game this year due to the loss at Kentucky.

It's actually 29-4 (.879)....Big 12 is third percentage-wise (36-11, .766).

Top 5 are:

1. Ohio State
2. South Florida
3. Boston College
4. LSU
5. Oklahoma

thoughts?

1. Ohio State will lose at least one of their last four. They play at Penn St and Michigan, and face Wisonsin and Illinois at home. They will lose.

2. South Florida has to play a tough Cincy team at home along with Louisville. Pittsburgh could also be a surprise.

3. BC has to play at VT which could prove to be tough. Also, if Miami and Clemson can play well enough, they can beat BC. But BC probably has the easiest remaining schedule out of the top 5.

4. LSU plays at Bama and against a possibly tough Auburn team at home. If McFadden can get loose, then Arkansas might be able to pose a problem for them.

5. All it seems we have to worry about is our showdown in Lubbock. But we still cant overlook every team. If we play our normal football (besides the Colorado game) in all the rest of the games, there is a good chance we can make it back to the National Championship.

BC will lose 2
Ohio State will lose 2-4
South Florida will lose 1-2, maybe 3
LSU will lose at least 1 more unless they go into meltdown mode and they'll lose 2-3.

As for the rest of it, I wouldn't be surprised if when all is said and done, we face Kansas in the CCG and end up playing them again in the BCS championship. Crazy I know, but they are gonna win out until the CCG and most of the rest of the top 15-20 are gonna lose a couple more games.
