I've never seen the folks in the Santee Lounge get really excited...ever. This isn't close to the scale of mass insanity like the PSU fans watching Michigan get whooped by App State, but it's just as good considering the circumstances.

They actually announced the score over the speakers at the stadium? Usually it's just "scores from other games around the country can be seen on the north endzone scoreboard."

If there was a playoff, nobody would have cared.

I loved in the stadium when people with binoculars were watching the TV's in the suites instead of the game. We had a little girl in front of us tell her Dad the game is down there and pointed to the field. When the final score hit, our whole side erupted and it spread around the stadium until the announcer gave the score.

We were against the wall in section 26 getting updates from the fans in the suites. The last we heard was 4th and 2 LSU. The next thing we heard were cheers and the upper student section immediately joined in. Fun stuff

My wife and I were home watching both games with picture-in-picture, flipping back and forth with each play. When we flipped back to OU after the LSU loss, we wondered if there wasn't a first rush of cheering by the crowd, then the larger one after it came across the PA...

I loved when the crowd erupted and the announcers on tv said something like "I think that's about the LSU score"
