Heh. I go out to Cleveland around Christmas, for 'quality time' with relatives. Thinks could get interesting if this ends up true....

Oklahoma, which last won the national title in 2000, but played in the national title game in 2003 (lost to LSU) and 2004 (lost to USC).

Dear CBS,

That is not a complete sentence.

Your friend,

GHP.

I'd take tOSU in the NC game. I like our resolve.

An OU v Florida game in Arizona would be kinda creepy, honestly. That will likely not happen now though.

the only bowl Nebraska will be looking at is the "chips and dip" bowl.

My boss is an Ohio State fan.

My wife's co-worker is from Ohio.

Yeah, I could be having all kinds of fun with that during December.

Still a long way to go though.

Well wouldn't BC and USF have to lose? Yet their predictions have them in the Orange Bowl, that's assuming we would jump these undefeateds or they would remain that high ranked after losing?

Oh never mind, Dennis Dodd says NO:

Did anyone else notice the absence of the pokes on that list?

That would make my year if they had to go to Norman and win in order to be bowl eligible... 'Cuase we all know what's going to happen...

Is von schauman free. With our kicking game, we would be in trouble.

The ONLY problem with OU-TOSU in the NC game?TOSU won't be there. They still haveMSU,at Penn State,Wisconsin,Illinois, and at MICHIGAN left to play. They WILL NOT run the table.

Again, don't listen to him. He picked A&M to win the Big XII. With him, it's a case of sour grapes. I also believe that he (or it may be Wetzel) is a KC area writer.

Oh man...this is the matchup that TripleOption14 and I have been having wet dreams about! I would like nothing better than to take down the Bucknuts...but it's still a longshot right now.

It would it be a great thing to take down the Bucks in the game indeed.

I'm kind of like you, ya know. I was born in Ohio and lived there until I was 7. All my relatives out there (Mom's side) are Bucknut fans. Never liked them. (Moved out here when I was 8.) Became the OU fan I am when I went to the (old) Weather Center in Norman when I was 11.

Anyways, those 'people' in Ohio bug me for not being a bucknut fan. It would be very nice to take them down.

Um, you do realize South Florida's enrollment is third in the State of Florida? Behind only UF and Central Florida? their enrollment is ninth-largest in the entire country, totaling nearly 45,000 students. Why would the Orange bowl not want that?

All would be right in the world with a OU/tOSU national championship matchup.

I think he was referencing the hundreds of people that would be tuning in.

Because USF is mostly a commuter school and does not have a large fan base. Don't be fooled by the number of students. You can walk up and get a ticket for any game.

Florida only has the three main football schools -- Florida in Gainesville, Florida State in Tallahassee, and Miami in Coral Gables. USF in Tampa is going through an up year but it will go down once again when Miami recruiting kicks in. IMO they cannot compete with the other three FL universities on a regular basis. If they played FL, believe they would get clobbered if the refs were fairer then they were for LSU/FL.

Heh. They stuck LSU in there now.

They got us in the Fiesta vs. The Nike Game Fixers.
