When this dismal season ends for them? How quickly they forget slasher Callahan was not even a top candidate before he suddenly got selected. I love it!

AD Tom Osborne and HC Bo Pelini

They'll try to go after Beamer and Rodriguez. Rodriguez won't go, and I doubt Beamer would but he'd be a good match.

USF's coach, whoever it is?
Cal's coach, whoever he is?

ESPN scoreboard is torching him right now. Comparing NU to Enron.

Weird if Blake became coach.

Frank Solich was like Gary Gibbs
Callahan was like Smelleyberger
and...Blake is...well...like Blake.

Jim Leavitt would be a great choice but I doubt he'd leave after building from scratch. Plus, I wouldn't want to see NU get him. Although I'm starting to feel sorry for NU. Hate to see such a great program go down the drain. They definitely need to dump Callahan.

Venables would be a great hire.

who would want to coach there? Talent obviously isn't there and it will take years to get where they want to be.

Disagree, I think there's plenty of young talent. Much more talent that we've had in recent years.

What about Dan McCarney? Didn't I see that he's the DL coach at South Florida? He deserves better than that.

Chris Petersen, Brent Venables, Bo Pelini, or the SUC defensive coordinator off the top of my head are considered the up-and-comers.

Let's not be silly. A coach WILL want to go there if offered. They are a historic program with lots of $$$ and tremendous fan support. People use to say that OU had no talent and we were only a has-been until the right guy was hired in Stoops. That "no-talent" group of kids got their buts in shape, and Stoops realigned them to put the in position also... and they took the game's highest honor in two years.

Pelini.

He could surely put together a staff that would satisfy most nebbish fans. Turner Gill for OC? I know, i'm reaching.

I would like to see Brian Kelly get a crack at the job, or Art Briles. Pelini isn't coming unless the AD is gone(which could well happen, there has been a mass exodus of Athletic Department employees recently). We need to find the football version of Doc Sadler. A coach that demands maximum effort at all times, and doesn't try to make things to complicated.
