I've had all the features for 7 years now and never thought anything about it. I just assumed that it came free with my Dell computer system because I don't remember ever downloading it, but maybe one of the kids did. Well, anyway it quit, and a window pops up telling me I need to pay for those premium features but that I can still use the standard features. The grandchildren use that kind of stuff all the time, but of course I really don't want to pay for it if I don't have to. What do y'all suggest?

I don't know what the dell thingie is, but http://www.irfanview.com/ is pretty good for freeware. Here is a link to reviews of photo editors: http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pixelbasedwin/tp/freephotoedw.htm

Oh, and here is the Adobe one too. It has a lot of basic features:

Mama, have you taken a look at Picasa? It's available from Google, and it's free. If you're not looking for complicated photoediting, it works well, plus it organizes your photos very well. Did I mention it's free?

I'm about to purchase a new system for the first time. Currently using my brothers older laptop. There have been dozens of PC threads, however, where do/did you buy your computer? Online? Dell store? This thing I'm using is a piece.

EDIT: I'm computer stupid.

Get GIMP.

Completely free. Nearly as good as photoshop.
