so.......yeah. just realized that tomorrow is my girl's B-day, and so far I have NOTHING planned. I'm thinking about calling her sorority sisters for a bail out.
If that doesn't work, then I'm going to go for the old stand by: Homemade eggplant Parmesan and the fixings.
unless I can get some other awesome ideas from you guys.

heh, i been married so long, that on my anniversary a few years ago, the wife and I both forgot. We knew it was coming but made no big plans. Well on the night of our anniversary we were both in bed watching the news when they said the date. we both looked at each other and starting laughing.. SAD, but we made up for that night... ;)

tell her to get all dolled up and either fix her dinner at home (which has its bonus points ;) or take her out
during the day, call a day spa or salon and get her a gift card for a massage, facial, pedicure/manicure that sort of thing
as for dessert, i'll leave that up to your imagination ;)

I may have to hop on the Drunkytown Express Friday, cuz I'll be stuck at teh werk next week.

ok, got it all planned. with some help from soonersweetie.
So she goes to work tomorrow at 1 and will get off around 5, so i'll send her this little stuffed frog (she has a thing for frogs, I don't know why) with a note saying something like soonersweetie suggested. I got my roommates to go hang somewhere else from about 8 till well after midnight (O'Connells is having their beer pong tourney. I told them I would pay for them to go if they went). then going to fix her favorite meal: eggplant Parmesan with squash and spinach salad crap, with a good bottle of wine. I hope the dude at the store knows wine, cus I don't.
any of you have any ideas for a good wine for around $25-35 that will go with that meal?
most wine from 10-30 bucks is decent. A good Pinot noir (red) or grigio (white). You can't go wrong w/ a 20 dollar bottle. she won't know the difference. Get 3 though. ;)

When I was a young college lad, I got my gal one of those 6ft inflatable Godzillas and put a dozen roses in his paws, I also made a gift bucket with bubblebath and other girl crap. I delivered it her sorority house, set it up downstairs and had her paged, all the ladies in the house were like. ooooooh you have the best boyfriend. It was easy.

You're half right- the price range can be very good, you don't need to spend more than $20. I don't recommend either of the Pinots, most of all, the white with eggplant parm.
Try a Varietal or Sangiovese. If you are in Norman, go to the Spirit Shop and ask them for a recommendation.

well I just found out from her big that her "family" is taking her out to lunch today. Found out where they are going so I'm going to send some flowers. But I did meet her outside of her first class to wish her happy birthday, that surprised her. I better get some out of all this, too much damn work.

Just got back from the various stores getting all the stuff for tonight. Candles, wine (the dude gave me some bottle of yellowtail). But right now I have to clean the house up a little bit. But I got a text message from her when she got the flowers and the stuffed frog. she loved it. So far so good.

Battered and pan fried squash and zuchinni, thinly sliced. Parm Eggplant with fresh Parm and top with light layer of mozterella. Dessert: Ben and Jerry's Vanillia ice cream with some fudge "I" made (By "I", I mean my aunt that lives in Moore).
Table is set with some candles, and Old Blue eyes is playin the background. See You people later. Thanks for the help.

I would call it a success. We just finished watching some dumbass chick flick, "Georgia Rule". But she told just told me she was going to the bathroom, that was about 10 minutes ago. I think she fell in, as she was kind of drunk. so who knows whats going to happen.

I plead the 5th on the first part of the question, and yes, it is called a paddle, or "head crackin stick" when playing at Air Force.

I will try any wine once. I like Zinfandel a lot; preferrably Rombauer but everywhere I go the damn price increases. I am drinking Greg Norman's collection and Kendall Jackson right now.
My Ex was obsessed with White Zin; made me dislike wine for a while because she couldn't get off it.
