having 2 winless teams on the schedule really hurts.

Well, it's not like we played the Citadel!

This is why we have virtually no shot at playing in New Orleans this year - look at all the one-loss teams that are still ahead of us. Our schedule just isn't good enough the rest of the way to jump us ahead of anyone. Make your plans for Phoenix (or possibly Dallas, if we lose again).

If there's one thing that is certain, we don't know who is going to win or lose every week. There's still hope!

Yeah, Utah State and North Texas are 117th and 118th out of 119 teams.

Dandy.

Why cant we just do a playoff already? Top 8 from the AP poll. So much easier.

If we can beat Mizzou, it will help our rating a lot. Who knows how these ratings will shake out over the next few weeks. Even if we can't make it to New Orleans, I'd be happy to go to the Fiesta Bowl as the Big XII champ and try to come home with the ugliest trophy in the sad history of ugly trophies. I just hope we get a good matchup against a storied program instead of Hawaii as I've seen in some bowl projections.

WE ARE NOT going to play BCS babysitter again just to have a kid that we can't control! I won't let it happen.

You're presuming all those 1-loss teams remain 1-loss teams. ;)

These rankings will change drastically by the last one.

remember when Awbarn had that weak ooc schedule from 2004 that prevented them from the Orange Bowl? Well, if OU is one of several one loss teams and a one loss team does get a bid, it will not be OU unless all 4 of our ooc opponents can pick up the pace.

Quit worrying about these polls! If we win out, everything will work itself out.

In that same year, Texas moved from 11th in the first week of the BCS to 4th in the last poll, so it's not unheard of for teams to move up rapidly through the rankings. We should know a lot more about the likelihood of us making it once we see how the Missouri game affects our ranking.

"A dominating performance against Missouri that sends them home crying and leaves Pinkel speechless in his presser will help out a lot."

Pinkel is always speechless. I've never seen the man sustain an emotion for over 3 seconds.

Aub was also #3 in both human polls big diffrence. If OU runs the table and ends up #2 in the AP/COACHES they will get in period. OU will switch spots with Missouri at the very least this weekend to get up to #6 in the first bcs poll, as the top 5 loses they will slowly creep up.
