hickory smoke billowing from the smoker. why don't I do this more often?

also, so far smoking on the Big Green Egg is much less of a production than smoking with the Weber Bullet. We'll see how the final product turns out before making any judgements.

Actually the best smell in the world for me, is the scent of perfume on my wife...just a hint of course.
That brings back soooo many good memories.

My wife loves the smoker smell as well. I need to get back into doing it but I want to get a new smoker.

smoked ribs on the menu tomorrow. marinating in the fridge right now.

along with a slab, i'm also gonna try some country style ribs just for the heck of it.

I've switched to pecan. not as strong of a smoke flavor.

I prefer hickory but I usually mix it with some pecan.

I heard or read--somewhere at some point, though I cannot recall--that pecan wood also causes less acid reflux/heartburn/general indigestion. No idea if that's true.
