I don't think LSU falls that much from losing to a good Florida team

1-Cal
2-OSU
3-BC
4-Fla
5-LSU
6-USF
7-OU
8-South Carolina

u really think theyll put LSU behind OU for losing to a top 10 team when we lost to an unranked team

If it happens it will be a loss at home to a team who lost to unranked (I think) Auburn last week.

Regardless of how the LSU/UF game ends up, we'll more than likely have a consensus #1.

South Florida needs to drop a bit. They appear to have struggled against Flordia Atlantic. Capt. Kangaroo could only muster 6 against OSU. They (Florida Atlantic) hung with USF for a half, and put 23 on the board. Come on...It's South Florida.

LSU is ahead. Where are we if LSU wins? That almost (can't believe I'm saying this) seems better for us.

It could be better right now, but not when all is said and done

LSU doesn't have many losses. Arkansas and Alabama can't beat them. They probably won't face Florida again now.

Why would USC be in the top 10? They lost to a bad team at home.

Because they're SC. They'll probably be ahead of us. Doesn't mean they should be, but I'll be surprised if they aren't.

Wisconsin at 9?

Hmm USC will still be at #1..somehow they will still get first place votes too :P

If you think the pole voters are going to drop USC below OU after getting beat by Standford, you seriously underestimate the man crush they have on Pete Carroll. Obviously, that Stanford team could beat any team in the Big XII.

USC will get all the pollsters agents and have them supply the pollsters parents with $750K houses. Its that simple. :D

This is the biggest line upset ever. The biggest before this was 37.5 by Syracuse over Stanford a few weeks ago. This was in USC's back yard a place they hadn't lost since 2001. Stanford is probably not going to win another game this year.

USC should drop at least 10 spots for this loss. Michigan dropped out of the top 25 after losing to a better team in App State.

I'd move Wisconsin out of the top 10. I wouldn't be shocked if Missouri doesn't jump to 10 in the poll before we smoke them.

Bottom line is if we run the table at this point the chances are pretty good that we can get into the BCS championship. I would prefer to not have to play LSU in New Orleans (again) to win a NC. The other 4 teams on your listt above OU all will have several games that they could lose. Lets just say if we wound up playing BC or South Florida in the NC game I think we would all take that in a heartbeat. Not to say Ohio St or Cal really scare me either.

I understand all the LOGIC that is behind USC dropping below us, but for some reason I don't see it happening...

I think USC has to drop a lot in the polls. Really if you look objectively at what they have done on the field this year they probably don't deserve to be in the top 10. Stanford isn't mediocre. They are terrible. They gave up 96 points the last 2 weeks. I think they got a pass on looking so/so against Neb and Idaho. But being lucky to beat Washington and following it up by losing to Stanford I think takes that benefit of the doubt away.

USC should be OUT of the top 10, but that's doubtful considering the 1 point loss. If you look at their team play this season, there's no question they are NOT a top 10 team.
