Just a little guide to help with any details you might require for the OU-Texas game this weekend:

Gate Information
For the most direct and efficient access to your seat, please enter the
stadium through the gate indicated on your ticket. All gates open two
hours prior to game time.

Pass-Out Gates (Re-entry policy)
Patrons may leave the Cotton Bowl through all gates at halftime only and
be able to re-enter with game ticket stub by the conclusion of halftime.
After halftime, you will not be able to depart the stadium then re-enter
at any time unless you have an unused ticket.

Stadium Office
The stadium office is located on the left after entering Gate 2. Please
look for the Fan Accommodation sign.

Messages
In case of an emergency at home, fans can be located and contacted at
the Cotton Bowl. Prior to leaving for the game, give your section, row
and seat number to the appropriate party. The party may call
214-421-8708 and inform the operator that an emergency message must be
relayed. There is no paging available. This service will be available
from one hour prior to kickoff until the end of the game.

First Aid
There are two emergency first aid stations, at Gate 2 and Gate 7.
Paramedics are on duty throughout the game. If assistance is needed in
the stands, please contact the nearest usher or emergency medical
personnel. If further attention is required, the patient will be taken
to nearby Baylor Hospital.

Restrooms
Restrooms are located throughout the stadium.

Ushers
Stadium ushers serve the needs of our spectators. Please contact the
nearest usher to request medical assistance or register complaints about
objectionable behavior by other spectators.

Banners and Signs
Temporary banners and signs are not permitted in the Cotton Bowl.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are NOT allowed inside the Cotton Bowl stadium.

Photography
You may take still photographs of the game from your seat.

Stay Off the Field
Please do not go onto the playing field at any time. Anyone entering the
field area without proper credentials is subject to eviction and arrest
under Texas state law.

Bags/Containers
Except for items pertaining to medical conditions or child care, all
large bags including backpacks are NOT permitted in the Cotton Bowl. No
containers (thermos, cans, plastic bottles, etc.) or coolers of any type
are permitted in the stadium. All carried items and entrants are subject
to search.

Alcoholic Beverages
Alcoholic beverages of any kind are prohibited inside the Cotton Bowl
stadium.


Smoking
NO smoking is permissible anywhere inside the Cotton Bowl stadium per
the City of Dallas.

Lost and Found
Lost and found services are maintained at the stadium office by Gate 2.
Articles should be turned over to an usher or brought to the stadium
office. All items not claimed immediately following the game will be
available the first business day after the game at the Texas State Fair
Lost and Found or by calling 214-421-8708

Lost Patrons
Lost patrons and persons looking for lost patrons should proceed
immediately to the stadium office by Gate 2.

Tailgating
Tailgating or picnicking in the parking lot is permitted in designated
areas only.

Automated Teller Machines
ATM's are available throughout the State Fair. Most ATM cards are
accepted.

Souvenirs
Official game-day merchandise will be available at novelty stands inside
and outside the Cotton Bowl Stadium.

Concessions
The Cotton Bowl Stadium has more than 75 concession areas with specialty
items ranging from chicken fajitas to game-day staples of hot dogs and
soft drinks. They are located just outside Gates 1 through 10.
Additionally, on each ramp you will find express beverage service. All
fans have access to these areas before and throughout the game.




Prohibited Items


Except for items pertaining to medical conditions or child care, all
large bags and backpacks are prohibited inside the Cotton Bowl Stadium.
All carried items and entrants are subject to search. A checkroom is
available near the Grand Place facility located on the west side of the
stadium near Cotton Bowl Plaza for those who wish to keep any bags not
being allowed inside the stadium. The check room is open from 10 AM to
9:30 PM and the charge is $2 per item. Prohibited items may be checked
at Grand Place location or discarded. Any unlawful items are subject to
confiscation, and the person in possession of such items is subject to
arrest.



Prohibited items inside the Cotton Bowl Stadium include:

* Alcoholic beverages
* Baby seats
* Baby strollers
* Backpacks (or any large bags)
* Banners, sign
* Beach Balls
* Cameras (professional equipment or cameras with long telephoto
lenses)
* Coolers (ice chests) or containers
* Explosives
* Folding chairs or stools
* Food and beverages

* Laser pointers
* Pets (with the exception of animals used by disabled guests)

* Umbrellas are NOT allowed inside the stadium per Big 12
Conference
* Noisemakers of any type (i.e. air horn, plastic horn, whistles,
etc.)

What is the best way to get to the game? If I recall, taking 75 south to 30 wasn't bad last year, but it was about four or five hours before kickoff.

If you don't want to bother with parking, all of the DART park and rides have direct buses to the fair.

Beware of paying someone for parking unless you can ascertain they actually OWN the property. I have seen young men selling parking spaces on public medians!

We drove home last night. Got in arOUnd 3 am.
