KIDS (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113540/)

I never even heard of it until an instructor in one of my classes showed it over a two day period. Said it would "help us relate to our students better"

PURE BS. That movie was nothing but a bunch of crap and was a useless waste of my time as a student. I called him on it. After several voiced similar views he asked why we hadn't objected sooner. After the fact, he claims the film wasn't important, but that he was testing to see if we would confront him for showing it.

I've had some instructors waste my time before, but this is the first one I've had do it intentionally just to get a reaction. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that there was a purpose in the movie. He wont get that slack again.

The singing legless man may have been the only thing interesting in the flick.

You're just mad because they got into a pool and didn't melt.

And hey, the song "Natural One" is on the soundtrack. Plus, no Kids, no Rosario Dawson.

I forget, is that the one where the teenaged boy goes around infecting girls with aids when he is not spitting on their dining room tables?

it's a ****ed up movie, but i could see using it as a view into the culture of kids that age. it's probably dated now though, i can only imagine how much more trouble kids can get into with xanga and myspace and stuff ;)

I think 2 hours of discussion about the youth culture would have been better than 2 hours of that craptacular film.

Bully (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0242193/)...is another F'd up movie

It says Bully was based on a true story.

I'll cut slack for that stuff. Like Blackhawk down. No way I'd consider it a good film if it wasn't based on a true story.

The only thing moderately interesting about KIDS was the controversy about it when it was being filmed up until the release.
