Norman (AP) - Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says he's re-evaluating how much Reggie Smith is used to return punts.


Smith muffed a punt to set up Colorado's tying touchdown Saturday and Stoops says it could be a result of Smith being tired from playing cornerback all day.

The coach says he needs to be smarter about how tired Smith may be at times and Dominique Franks may be used as an occasional replacement.


Anybody heard any other news about our return game?

Fine here. Throw DeMarco back there too, assuming he can field punts. No reason why it has to be the same guy.

Well, if he's playing corner and safety and returning punts, no freakin wonder he's tired.

I am always surprised when Reggie makes a catch standing up. He is always some how falling down when he fair catches a punt it seems like.

I've been wanting to see Demarco back there, but Franks can flat out burn too. Either way, I don't care if it's Phil Loadholt as long as they protect the ball.
