We are staying in Arlington this weekend for the game but we don't want to go down to West End Friday night. Where is a good place to go drink a few beers and just hang out around Arlington? A good little sports bar would be great. Thanks in advance.

not in Arlington but Beto's on I-20 and Great Southwest Pkwy has a great friday Happy hour and a few nice HD TeVees. Not alot of 'rah rah' for the RRS but a place for a good meal and drinks.

if not, there is always Hooters on Collins near the ballpark

Isn't Arlington dry? I swear to God, Coach new the line for that deal, bet he mapped it out on a city map and then booked Hotel rooms in the dry sections. All in order to reduce the alkyhol consumption of the band members. The people who drove down all ran a liquor service run once in place at the hotel...

Depending on where you're staying:

Bobby V's, on S. Bowen just north of I-20
No Frills Grill, on Little Rd just north of I-20
Ker's Wing House, Copeland Rd, just south of I-30 and east of Collins
Swamp Daddy's, in Lincoln Square shopping center, just south of I-30 and west of Collins

there are no liquor stores in Arlington, but you can buy beer. liquor can be served at restaurants and bars as well.

the nearest liquor stores will be on the Arlington/ FTW line
