View Full Version : Conflicted! Two superb TV programming options.

One of my all time fav actors (Mr. Robert Duvall) is featured tonight on AMC in the flick which racked-up three Emmy's this year. It's a western called "Broken Trail." We haven't seen it. It starts at 1900CDT.

The conflict comes in because "The War" starts at the same time on OETA.

Dang, I wish I had me a DVR thingy. :mad:

I may punt on "The War" because they'll re-run this episode on the Ardennes Campaign (a/k/a The "Battle of the Bulge") later this week.

Thanks! That solved it for me. I'm watching "The War." Grandpaw Homey was in that one all the way. In fact, much later, when people used to beyotch about cold weather, he used to say, "man, you don't know what cold is..." (referring to being repeatedly shelled while being outside during one of the worst winters in recorded European history with no tentage, fires, nothing but your issue field gear and nowhere near enough calories from half rations to even hope to stay warm.)

Mine too, both of them.

I wish I knew more about where they were and what they did. I know one grandpa was in the Army in N Africa and Italy and the other was in the Navy and, I think, was in the Middle East for some reason. Among other places.

I think I just had to get by the 1st part where the Maggots were buying and sellin the skeered girls .

I shoulda lived back then . Wouldnt have had a prob Plantin maggots like that .
Hell I wouldnt have a prb today . just have to be sneaky.
