South Florida is ranked number 6 in the AP...ahead of Florida, Florida St, and Miami...

That is an amazing story IMHO. Good for the Bulls, those boys have proven to be awesome. Beating an Auburn team that upset Florida, then humiliating West Virginia. It's going to take alot of money to keep that coach in town.

And that's what they did when Alabama came calling before they hired Shula....threw a lot of money at Leavitt to stay there.

I've got no problem with them being top 10. Better resume than anyone else, I think.

It's hard to disagree with them being in the top 10....They have played in a great way!

I have no problem with USF being in the top 10 but I have to admit to being surprised that they jumped 12 spots from #18 to #6.

They beat a highly ranked team and a bunch of teams ahead of them lost. 12 spots is a lot but it was an unusual weekend.

LSU vaulted ahead of USC in the AP poll and is a comfortable margin behind in the USA Today poll.

It's definitely froze (sic) down there.

Yeah, I thought the same thing.

A combination of beating two good teams and lots of teams falling in front of them led to it.

But yeah, the shock of a top-10 S. Florida team was striking.

It's always good to post the whole list while broaching a topic like this.

SEC bias continues. Florida loses at home and barely falls.

Could South Florida make the national Championship this year? What's the remaining schedule?

South Fla is great story. Also, Kentucky hasn't been in the top since 1950!!

i remember back in the day leavitt's name was being tossed around for the coaching job here. he's done one hell of a job considering that program's been around all of 11 years.

Wonder if USF's DECO needs a job. Their D seems to play with fire and knows where they're supposed to be and who they're supposed to cover.

I gotta say it....

there is nothing about that conference schedule that would put fear into me if I had a team of 6 transvestites and their moms.
