Dumb. I looked it the stats last year and kickers were about 20% more effective after being iced than when they were not.
A final timeout wasn't why we lost.

having 20 seconds to field a kickoff and possibly get a play or 2 off could have been helpful. doesnt matter anymore

If a kicker thinks he's going to be iced and it doesn't happen, it could have a similar effect
At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

my real point was we would have had time to score. icing the kicker was a moot point.

Playing mind games has a better chance than running back a squib kick IMO.

I think we should have rushed through before the snap, knocked the kicker out, and let the second string kicker try it from 15 yards closer. ;)
