let me preface this by saying this - there should be NO talk about the heisman until mid/late october. that being said, however, here are some stats that might show why we, as SOONER fans, are a bit confused:

booty (usc): 69/98 - 639 yds - 70.4 - 9TD - 2INT
white (wvu): 61/87 - 717 yds - 70.1 - 6TD - 1INT (1 TEAM LOSS)
tebow (ufl): 65/95 - 1096 yds - 68.4 - 10TD - INT (too close of a game will ole miss)
brennan (haw): 103/133 - 1262 yds - 77.4 - 12TD - 1INT (against who????)
brohm (lou): 114/168 - 1697 yds - 67.9 - 15TD - 3INT (2 losses, 1 to a HORRIBLE syracuse)

bradford (OU): 75/96 - 1067 yds - 78.1 - 14TD - 2INT (***hasn't played a full game yet***)

can someone point out to me why bradford isn't THE frontrunner (besides brennan)??

sam HAS been getting a lot of media love, but booty, who seems to be the top QB right now, has done less against similar teams. i think much of it has to do with the FRESHMAN thing, but, as we all know, it shouldn't.

just venting a bit. thanks for listening.

There is a perception that OU hasn't played anybody yet.

A lot of people are reserving judgment. I don't disagree, with him being a RS freshman.

I actually must say that Tebow is a stud. His ability to run the ball is something those numbers don't reflect. That's not to say he should or shouldn't be a Heisman candidate.

However, Booty is teh average, but the media is on his jock in a great way.

Certainly.
