TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona coach Mike Stoops spent several hours hospitalized Friday to receive treatment for kidney stones, but is expected to be on the sidelines Saturday for the Wildcats' game against Washington State.
Stoops received undisclosed treatment at University Medical Center in Tucson and was released just after noon. Athletic director Jim Livengood said Stoops will coach Saturday and be re-evaluated Monday.
Stoops was resting at home Friday afternoon.
The Wildcats (1-3, 0-1 Pac-10) are coming off a 45-27 loss at No. 6 California last week. Washington State (2-2, 0-1 Pac-10) is also trying to rebound from a 47-14 loss to top-ranked Southern California.
