So a few friends and I are going down to play Aqua Canyon in Guthrie tomorrow morning. Anything I should know about it in advance?

There's water in the canyon.

It's been a few years, but Aqua Canyon is a relatively easy course. Duffy's courses are all pretty much the same - not much rough and the hazards are water, not sand. Duffy says "life is too short to hunt for golf balls".

I've never played there but I LOVE posting in golf threads.

The place is pretty easy. I bet the slope is barely over 110, if it is at all.

fun little track. I played it today and it's in decent shape.

If I remember the holes correctly, #2 is a fun hole. Bite off as much as you can chew over the water.

Swing through the ball, not at the ball. YWIA

Be sure and be careful when you're looking for your ball in the rough.
There's an AIDS-infected, slightly rabid, and ill-tempered gopher lurking about, according to rumor.

Pull out your driver as much as possible and hit it on the sweet spot.

Everybody had a great time, and really enjoyed playing the course. I give a big thumbs up to the staff & grounds crew; the service was excellent, and the course was in great shape. I didn't mind all the balls I lost, it was fun. I look forward to playing there again.
