These point totals are up to date through today .In order to qualify for inclision on this or the Top 10 scoring list teams must have at least 1000 games played.

One noteworthy item:Alabama,Michigan,Notre Dame,USC,Tennessee,Penn State, and OKLAHOMA are on both the all-time soring and defense gainst scoring lists.

Actually when you are talking about 1000+ games,one season won't make a major impact.

Bama only has to give up 36 points fewer than Michigan to take over the top spot.

So what's the average between scoring and scoring defense end up?

It's based on average -- not total points. And at 1,100 games, a fairly large number of games will need to be played in order to effect much change in the average. 36 points won't do dick to anyone's average based on the total number.
