SETTING THE STAGE: Tonight is the first of two games between Oklahoma and Lindenwood this weekend...OU and Lindenwood will play five teams during the regular season...This weekend is also the first road series of the year for Oklahoma...Oklahoma has a 5-4-0 all-time record against Lindenwood, including a 3-1-0 record vs. Lindenwood on the road.



OKLAHOMA NOTES: The Sooners scored 16 goals last weekend in 9-2 and 7-1 routs of Texas Tech in OU's season opening series...Forwards Sean McCauley (Naperville, IL) and Keith Denton (Vail, CO) lead the Sooners in goals scored with three apiece...Forwards Kyle Allan (Flagstaff, AZ) and Doug Gebbie (Frisco, TX) and defenseman Austin Miller (Dallas, TX) each have scored two goals this season...Defenseman Shawn Hayden (Allen, TX) leads the Sooners in assists with four assists...McCauley, Gebbie and forward Daniel Siira (Anchorage, AK) have three assists each this season...McCauley leads all OU scorers with 6 points...Forward Matt Pangrac (Decatur, IL) will miss this weekend's games due to an off-ice commitment...Defenseman Trevor Hallberg (Flagstaff, AZ) will also miss the games this weekend due to a leg injury...Forward Owen Brewer (Kenai, AK) also will not play as he continues to recover from an arm injury suffered at Nationals last March...Forward Chris Nicolaou (Dallas, TX) has rejoined the team after attending to family matters back home last weekend.



LINDENWOOD NOTES: The Lions split a pair of games with the Hampton Roads Jr. Whalers two weeks ago, losing 4-3 and winning 7-1...Despite this being only their fifth year of play, Lindenwood has gone to Nationals the past three years...Head Coach Derek Schaub has had to replace almost 45% of his scoring from last year due to graduation...Defenseman Justin McLaughlin has transferred back to Lindenwood after taking last season off...Forward Quinn Henry has been named captain of the Lions...Lindenwood returns two of their top three goal scorers from last season, junior Henri St. Arnault, who had 18 goals and 39 assists, and senior Larry Kopecky, who had 20 goals and 33 assists last season...Senior goaltender Grahame Lippert returns in net for the Lions this season, sporting a 21-12-0 record, a 3.63 GAA and a .882 save percentage from last season...Lindenwood has brought in 13 new players this season to their 27-man roster: nine forwards, two defensemen and two goalies.
