Annual Oklahoma/Texas Game To Be Played Under 8 Man System.
:texan: September 25th, 2007
The annual Oklahoma-Texas football game will be played under 8-man football rules this year. This marks the first time the two teams will play the 8 man football system against each other in the modern era. Mack Brown and The University of Texas petitioned the NCAA on Tuesday morning citing that due to the many player arrests that the Texas program has suffered recently, Texas unfortunately will not have enough men to play the regular 11-man rules. Mack Brown was unable to make further comments because of a Vince Young banquet being held on campus celebrating the 2005 season and Vince Young. The banquet is held once a week to remind everyone of that magical season because without Vince, there will never be another one like it.
