OU stadium expanded to 100,000? Can expanding the North end at the 15,000 or so seats?

Yes. But if they close off the breezeway in the southwest corner, the early season afternoon games are going to be BRUTALLY hot.

Probably not.The schools with stadiums that large (Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee) have much higher enrollemnt and much larger alumni bases than OU does.

That may be true.
But I think it would sellout most games. 15000 more isnt that much more really.

Texas will be close to 100,000 in the next 3 years...

That would be interesting. Why, is someone talking about it?

I dont think they will any time soon. There are tons of tickets on the streets as it is. It would be great for the couple really big games we have every season but I think you would see empty spots during games against much lesser opponents. (baylor, ISU, Utah St)

92-95,000 next year and if they leave the south side bleachers I think it is over 100,000.

OU has already expanded twice not choosing to add 10-15k crumby seats in the end zone but by building up on the East and West...I doubt that philosophy will change just to create a "Bowl" stadium...

Parking is already a b*tch. Where are another 15,000 gonna park?

You do realize we have something like 15,000+ extra already in the area when the stadium is packed, don't you?

At least that many at the tailgates, etc...

I think it will expand to 100K eventually, but that may be 20 years away. It won't happen anytime soon.

I personally think that we should completely build a whole new southend zone complex. I think it is really time to build a new headquaters for college football domination and to hold all of our trophies and we could bowl it in, I know the pros and cons but it would be so much louder and more intimidating. Plus it would allow us to build something like bama built in there endzone with a bunch more suites, which is where the real big money comes in, see arkansas. Just my opinion not that anyone care.

I'm for anything that gets more fans making noise and shaking up the opposing teams.

We need those little buzzer things the Talons give out. Those little ****ers are about as loud as an air horn!!! Can you imagine 85,000 or 100,000 of them when the Children of the Corn are on offense?

No kidding! But honestly, I think 100,000 screaming Sooners would be enough.

Im not as big on the whole numbers race, but saying you were over 100,000 would be pretty cool. There is supposedly a 20,000 person wait list so it shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe add a Casino or even a Racino...
