We have gained 290 points from the preseason poll.

Week USC LSU OU
Preseason 1622 1511 1166
1 1619 1542 1275
2 1594 1582 1418
3 1605 1577 1434
4 1601 1580 1456

I think if LSU beats Florida, USC can kiss #1 goodbye and will be #2.

I think Florida would be #2 or maybe #1 if they win.

Never noticed before, but posts look weird on this forum in Times New Roman.

My question is on Oct 7th, USC is undefeat, Florida beats LSU, and OU beats texass, then what should the ranking be among USC, FL, OU and LSU?

I think after Oct. 7th... "if" OU wins.... OU will be a solid #3 and thats that unless.... OU hammers UT i.e 63-14
1. USC
2. winner or LSU/FU
3. OU

Remember SC could lose to Oregon.. and how sweet would it be to play Oregon in a re match on a neutral feed with neutral refs...

I agree. I think the only other Pac-10 team with a shot at the title game is Cal, and even they are a long shot. Oregon was ranked too low to start the season.

We need Florida to lose to the other SC, then LSU to lose to the Gators.

Its all so clear now!

So it is safe to say we will be ranked higher than #3 right?

I can see USC and LSU or Florida each dropping a game. With MAYBE LSU going unbeaten. I would not mind being #2 going into the championship game at all. If Cal goes unbeaten and the rest drop a game, it could be us #1 and Cal #2. Either way I think the NCG is gonna be a helluva ride at this point.

As long as we're 1 or 2 at the end, I don't care. I base every single bit of my rooting for teams on getting OU and other conference teams to move up in the polls, but all we really need is #2.

When we win out, we'll be there.
